Well there is a difference between age and size. I stopped when my boys were around 12 months old and were walking/cruising more. However, they were in 18-24 month size at that time. I answered 12 months but that was based on age not size.

We barely even used the 12 month ones but we live in a warm climate. I hated the snaps.

I see us wearing till 18 mon... DD will be 12 mo in Dec so I'd totally still be putting these on as undershirts in the winter!

sorry - didnt read all the other responses so it may have been mentioned!
DD is almost 2 years (in size 18-24) and I still put her in onsies for a few reasons:
1) Layering (they stay down/tucked in)
2) Easy to just be around the house in in the hot summer months
3) She just realized its fun to take off your diaper...a onsie keeps that in check until she is in need of the zip up the back jammies!

Until they begin to potty train. My 18 month old still wears them occasionally.
