LO is 6w and is up once or twice for a little over an hour. I'm exhausted. And then I hear about babies waking up to eat 2-3x when they are much older. I couldn't handle that! All I can figure is it doesn't take as long?

My LO's night wakings used to take that long too but they've gotten a million times better. Even if he eats now the max time that we're up is 20 minutes.

We're at 2 months and we're up about an hour for a feeding, but she's still pretty small and takes both sides every time. It's nights she's only up once though!

When my LO was a newborn she was up every two hours and would take an hour to an hour and a half to feed. Even at six months she is up 1-3 times for about 30-45 minutes.

At 6 weeks my LO was a super slow eater so nightwakings took 45 minutes but he always fell back asleep quickly. At 2.5-3 months they would take 10-15 minutes max. I thinks our shortest nightwakings were 8 minutes long! It does get better!!

For a while our night wakings were taking about an hour. I think at the time it was because she didn't know how to put herself back to sleep so it was her eating plus I had to change her plus I had to nurse her back to sleep. Once she was a little older, she woke up a lot but only for about 10 minutes each time (that was also because she didn't need anything, she just couldn't fall back to sleep on her own).

About 10-13 min at 4 months...he eats quickly and goes right back to sleep thank goodness. I also stopped changing his diaper in the motn which helped a ton.

Exactly what Hilsy just said - maybe 20 minutes max since he is sleeping basically after eating on one side and I'm half asleep so I just let him linger.... LO is 4 months, he's been waking up once which is new - hoping he goes back to sttn.

At 6 weeks, even though LO fell asleep right after nursing, it would still take about an hour from start to finish. By the time I changed his diaper, nursed about 15-20min per side, burping, maybe another diaper change if he pooped while eating and re-swaddled, an hour had passed!

@jedeve: My LO would get up, eat, and go right back to sleep. It was super easy as she got older. I would be up for maybe 30-40 minutes?

When she was about 8 weeks and older she would wake up to nurse and go right back to sleep, which would take anywhere from 5-10 minutes, she is pretty quick.
