How long do you/did you go by LO's adjusted age? Until 1 year? 2 years? DS was only 6 weeks early so I sometimes feel silly specifying his adjusted age on the boards when asking questions or talking about milestones but he really has developed more in accordance with his adjusted than his actual age.

I'm also curious about this. He's 2.5 months, about three weeks adjusted. Most people have no idea what I'm talking about when I say that IRL though.

@petunia354: I was told that they are completely caught up by 2 years. So, in theory, 2 would be the age you would stop. But B hit most of his milestones by actual age, so I don't really think about his adjusted age anymore.

Ours were only 4 weeks premature, but I felt like the first 6 months they were definitely about that much behind. At 8 months, they seem to be a lot more on target, so I just refer to their actual age, but keep the adjusted in the back of my mind.
ETA: I've also heard they should be totally caught up by 2 years.

@Mrs. Blue: ah, this is great. L is only 4 weeks behind as well and I was wondering when he would catch up. I feel like he is starting too but definitely still notice he is behind in certain areas. I guess we have a few more months to go!

@.twist.: It's hard to know because babies hit milestones at such a variety of ages anyway. My above post referred to when they generally hit milestones, but I should note that as far as size goes, they're still on the small side, but we are at least on the growth chart now!

He is a little peanut. Albeit, a chunky little peanut.

We *almost* on the growth chart but DH and I are both short so I have a feeling he'll always be on the low end for height.
Thanks for the thoughts! Even at almost 11 months I feel like O is a little behind his actual age on things, especially eating solids, but am not worried about it. If I've learned anything as a parent it's that he'll do things when HE is ready, not when mom is ready

At about 18 months DS was pretty much on track. At 6 years he shows no development issues. In fact he is ahead of his peers in his class.
