LO is nearly 9 weeks old and has gotten to be a pretty good napper. He rarely cries went put down to nap, and we always comfort him before putting him down again. He's now been in his crib for a "nap" for about 20 minutes, but I can see/hear from the monitor that he is not interested in sleeping (despite his earlier yawns). He is cooing and kicking around his legs, but not fussing or cranky. Should I just let him hang out if he is happy? Or should I get him and play with him since he seems to be interested in playing?

A is 11 months, so a bit older, but I let her hang out in there for a while if she doesn't sleep, but is happy. I sometimes need her to at least rest if she is going to refuse her nap, so I can get a thing or two done and get some quiet time for myself.

Yes! If he's happy, just let him hang out. If he gets tired, he may take a nap on his own!

Bahaha of course the second I write this he finally falls asleep! Silly baby.

I would let him hangout in the crib. He'll let you know when he's had enough.

So long as she's not crying for more than a few minutes I leave her. She usually puts herself to sleep (she's fussing but not crying as I type this!).
