Aaaw... My 6-month-old just caught his first cold 2 weeks ago from his older brother who is in preschool. He had the sniffles for no more than a week; and it was more mild compared to his brother's cold. I have the Baby Comfy Nose and it helped a lot. I was lucky he didn't mind me using it on him. He just looked a little stunned for a second. These little ones are more resilient than we think! Hope she feels better soon!

My LO has had various colds, I think his first came when he was about three months old which he caught from his older sister. It lasted about ten days, give or take a few.

oh, daycare. It will last a week at the most, and when they start daycare they'll be sick on and off for a good 6 months. great immunity builder though! Hope M feels better soon!!!!

@mrs. wagon: ahhhhhhhh you just made me cryyyyy!!! 6 months of being sick? I don't know if I can handle it. I'm so sad.

@mediagirl: sorry!! but seriously, the more they're sick now, the tougher their immune systems are later. It is so sad though. Stock up on the ibuprofen, boogie wipes, etc and pray for spring!

Max 1 week, but normally 2-3 days and there's already a big improvement! This is one of my fears for daycare, since I SAH he only gets colds when we go to birthday parties, start a new class, things like that.

@krsmall: :sob: yes! We're cursing daycare.
@mrs. Wagon: what are boogie wipes? Anything else we should get? I gave her some ibuprofen tonight because she was so miserable and conk, she's out like a light.

Poor baby! Our LO has been stuffy since day 2, and she wasn't even at daycare until day 3! Even just two days at someone else's house and she gets stuffy, and then passed it to me by Thursday. She is acting normal but it just sounds so pitiful when she breathes through her nose but there is nothing to suction out.

@mediagirl: i asked our pedi all the time if it was ok to give ibuprofen and I think it always helped. Boogie wipes are wipes for the nose that are gentle and smell good! Get the grape scent. Also get saline spray and a snot suckered, and a humidifier if you don't already have one going. Keeping the nose moist is key!
