Have you seen this article? I feel like more people are sick earlier this year than in previous years. Glad I got my flu shot!

Yeah, flu season is no joke this year. For the pats 2-3 weeks, I have had no fewer than 4 flu-positive or rule-out-flu patients on my floor at the hospital every day (meaning one might be discharged but we immediately get a new one). And one of the other social workers says it's the same on her floor. We've NEVER had this many flu patients!

I have a 4 month old and it freaks me out enough, I would really hate having a newborn right now!

I got the flu shot and have already had a stomach bug AND a cold/flu. And my son has too.

so scary! hubs & i both got the flu shot since we're having a baby right in the thick of flu season. makes me want to lock her up at home!

Yeah the radio was talking about how the flu is hitting earlier this year! A lot of people at my gym have had it. Yay for flu shots (which i never get, but got this year b/c i'm pregnant)

This year is the first time either DH or I have gotten the flu shot. But because I'm pregnant, I knew it was recommended. I just heard how bad this flu season is on the news last night and I'm so glad we both decided to get the shot! Of course, we also watched the movie "Contagion" last night, which definitely makes me not want to leave the house ;)!

The flu is definitely going on around here! I called the OB earlier this week because I caught the cold and needed suggestions for a decongestion and she said this year's flu shot missed some strands of known flu viruses and that's why so many more people are contracting the flu this year. Wonderful.

@Alivoo01: I know, I heard it covers 80% of what they've been seeing, so I guess that is a lot better than nothing.
