I just received my PayPal confirmation and am itching to create a Gold post. How long will I have to wait? Yes, I'm a bit impatient over here.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I think it has to be set up manually by Mr. Bee.. maybe they are tied up with school pickup right now?

Mr. Bee changes your status to gold manually so it can take awhile if he is not online.
For me it was activated very quickly, like within 10 minutes I think.
