Hellobee Boards

It takes forever.... it would be 30 minutes or more if I let him, but I try to limit it to 15-20 minutes if I could. So after bath he knows it is storytime. I let him go pick out books from the shelf, and he'd bring the book to me. Everytime when 1 book is about to finish, he ran to get the 2nd one and hand it to me. That would continue to the 3rd/4th book and I would say ok this is the last book but he would usually ignore me. Finally I had to put him in his crib to read him his last book (4th or 5th). He'd be crying when I picked him up and drop him in the crib. sigh. I guess I should be thankful he loves to read so much.

Ah, man. I am a total enabler. We often read to Ellie for about an hour at bedtime, and usually a little more reading at bath time. (So 15-20 minutes then).

Lorelei gets reading more sporadically, as she wants it, but I would estimate that she gets 45 minutes or more a day. A good chunk of that total is in the evening, but not contiguous. At least an hour if you include when she listens to Ellie's book at bath, but I don't really count that because she is otherwise engaged.

We love books at our house. Fortunately Lorelei has come around.
