He was in 5 for awhile - definitely not a full year but over 6 months.
We bought 7's next and they're a tad big but fit well, so hopefully he'll be in them awhile.

Sadie was in a 2 when she started walking in December (didn't wear shoes before that) until about April, and has been in a 3 ever since. She'll probably move into 4's by September. So, 5 months?

J was in 6s even before he started walking (big stompers like your LO @rahlyrah:) at 14 months, and just moved up to 7s at 17 months. They're a little roomy, but the 6s are very tight now. So I'd say sizes last 4-6 months.

He was only in 6s for a month or two but we've been in 7s since may. Switching to 8s soon.... I guess he has big feet! (20m).

@rahlyrah: she is dainty -- not like her mama at all! I wish she had bigger feet. It seems like all of the cute, hard soled shoes start at a 5!

I feel like her feet grew super fast from 12 months to about 20 months - shot from size 4 to size 6.
She stayed in size 6.5/7 from 20 months to 2 years 9 months...basically from last summer through this summer. We just bought fall shoes in all 7.5 bc 8 is too big but 7 is perfect so we went a half size up to allow for some growth. I'm hoping she'll stay in these until next summer

We have to get new shoes for LO. He's outgrowing his size 6's right now. He got them in March, so about 6 months for us. He's turning 2 this week.

insanely fast for us. He went from a 5-7.5 within about 9 months. And I wouldn't really know much before that, because he didn't really wear shoes (he was a very late walker).

So far I have bought shoes in seasons for LO. A couple pairs for Fall/Winter, and then a couple pairs for Spring/Summer. So I buy them to fit her for at least 6 months. She is currently in a size 6, and the size 6 sneakers I bought her 8 months ago still fit great.
Last Winter I bought her a pair of Hunter Boots extra big so that they fit with the liner, and they will fit her again this year, but without the liner. I am happy to be getting so much use out of them.

It took her almost a year to get from 4 to 5 and 8 months to move into 6s.

R wore 3 for 2 months tops. Same with her 4's. Just moved her to her 5's, but she can still wear some 4's. I hope she stays in 5's longer then a couple months.

My son has small feet -- was in 4s from 15/16 months-20 months and has been a 5 or 5.5 for 7 months. He will be in 6s this fall and he just turned 27 months.

@winniebee: that makes me feel better! B is size 7. I feel like lately he's been going up a shoe size every season. Which works perfectly for me!

@littlek: yeah he has been in 5s since January! We got a few pairs for spring which were 5.5 and they still fit him but it's a tight squeeze with socks so I think 6 for fall will be perfect.

about 4 months. size 3-4 from walking (10 months) to 15 months, then size 5 until about 19 months. i'm not buying far ahead as her feet keep growing!
