...before I need to babyproof? I know I know, the sooner the better but I'm a major procrastinator!
So given that LO is sitting up well independently & scooting backwards when on her back but has no interest in rolling still and doesn't seem to be showing signs of moving forward from pushing up yet on her front...when do you think she'll be crawling? She's just 6 months.
When did your LO's begin to crawl? What were the signs right before it happened?

I'm wondering this too! DD still needs assistance sitting up, but is a rolling machine. She can scoot herself in a 360 degree circle while on her belly to get what she wants, lol. I still think we will be a while though before we need to babyproof (hopefully because I am a procrastinator too!!)

LO 1 started worming/army crawling at 6.5 months. LO 2 just started at 10.5 months.

Good Question! Apparently he rolled both ways all day tuesday at daycare and is on strike now but will hang out on his belly and is trying super duper hard to get those knees up. It motivated my dh enough to buy a gate lol.

@jetsa: Aww! S is much happier hanging out on her belly now. Up until the last week or so she hated tummy time with a passion. I don't think she realises she needs to get pushed up on her knees to crawl and she's kind of kicking her legs like she's swimming at the moment!

Lo started army crawling at 5 months crawling at six months and now at 7 months is everywhere!

DD sat independently at four months and crawled at 5.5. You have 1.5 months. IDK.
From the time she started crawling to getting into trouble was just a few hours though.
So exciting!

I'd say 6 months before babyproofing. It wasn't until he was walking that we started babyproofing the stove and doorknobs.

I'd say just babyproof as you go! Observe what she is interested in and start there. Some babies aren't interested in things you would think (like inside kitchen cabinets, our first son was never interested in that). L is totally interested in plug sockets (hell bent on electrocution methinks!). So we plugged those first.

@char54: haha my LO spins herself in a circle too! & when she's on her tummy she can scoot backward but not forward.
The anticipation is killing me!
