I guess I'm still getting weekly pregnancy emails, and in reading one of them I realized that I must have been in transition for at least 4 hours thanks to my swollen cervix being stuck at 8-9 cm. All I can say is thank goodness I didn't read enough about labor to know what was going on and even more thank goodness for the meds!

I guess I don't know for sure but I'd say around 5 hours or so? I got checked at 10pm and I was at 8cm. Around 11pm I got incredibly cold, and incredibly thirsty, and I was shaking uncontrollably and then threw up. I ended up with a c section at 4am due to my cervix starting to swell shut, not progressing, (my) spiking a fever, and my LO's heart rate going wonky. So who knows how long it would've taken if I'd waited it out (if ever... turns out my LO was sunny side up and crooked and stuck in my pelvis. Took two docs to pry her out...)

Mine was pretty quick. I want to say around and hour or 90 minutes.

I went from 5 cm to 10 in about an hour! That was after about 20 hours of induction though. It took breaking my water to get to 3 and getting the epidural to progress beyond that.

I arrive at the hospital at an 8 and got an epidural almost right away (within the hour of walking in, probably 30-45 mins.) I started pushing at least 7 hours after that. (My water wasn't broken, so that's why I was told things could e moving so slowly, and they were trying to flip LO.) She was born 30-45 mins after I started pushing. Yay for epidurals!

No idea. When they checked me in triage I was 6 cm, by the time they got me upstairs to a LDR room 20 min later I was fully dilated.

It took me 20 hours to get to a 3. Then I got an epi, took a nap ( sweet sweet relief) and 4 hours later I was at a 10 and ready to push! I couldn't believe how fast that part went.

I think right around 2.5 hours. I arrived at 5-6 cm and within 20 minutes I was at a 7. I pushed for about an hour and a half.

Not long at all. I was at 4, I think, when I got to the hospital around 3:30 am. Got checked in, labored, in and out of the tub, then at one point I asked about an epidural. They checked me and told me I was at 9 and in transition, at which point I said screw the epidural (not in so many words). Had C at 7:16. So, my time line is pretty fuzzy but it don't think it could have been more than an hour. I wanted a natural birth and didn't want to labor long in the hospital so I went in as late as I could.

It took me 20 minutes to get from 5 to 10cm.

Hours and hours and hours, since my baby was asynclitic and posterior. From about 4 pm to 1 am.

About 45-60 minutes for me. I can't say for sure because I was coming in and out of consciousness (that's the best way I can describe it). Transition is so fascinating to me!

Less than 15min to go from 5 to 10cm with LO2.

It was long and very rough. Maybe four hours?

I think I skipped it. Unless that was the part where I broke down and was sobbing while trying to lay on an exercise ball.

It was pretty fast at 8:55pm I was at 8cm an by 9:15pm I was pushing and LO was born at 9:36pm so it wasn't long for me

I think it was about an hour between 7-10cm. They told me it would be 3 and I remember telling my husband there was no way I was going to make it without an epidural if it took that long. Next thing I knew, I was ready to push!

not long. I went from 4cm - 10cm in 1.5 hours.

I stalled at 8cm- my cervix was swollen. I was at an 8 at 6pm, and started pushing at 2:00am. Awhile!

A couple of hours maybe? During which I slept! I got an epidural at 7cm, zonked out for 2 hours, woke up at 10cm!

I went from 3 cm to 10 in an hour. Not sure of exactly how long transition took, but I progressed at lightning speed once they started pitocin.
