He was in 3s from 6 months until just recently, around 15/16 months, at about 22 lbs. we only switched bc his poops could no longer be contained by the 3s! The 4s also seem roomier for him.

@photojane: pampers cruisers have less bulk between the legs. I accidentally got the Swaddlers and really noticed the difference.

We moved up to 4s at 14 months when he was around 19 lbs - skinny one here too but he has a long torso and for whatever reason ends up with poop up the back if we don't move up when he is at the cusp of needing a size change. He has worn 4s for days for a long time (he's 22 months) and wears 5s at night.

Lo is 15 months and 19 lbs and has been in size 4 since she was one. We had a few blowouts one week and were running low on our stash, so we went up the next time we bought them.

Wow, my DS has been in size 4's since he was about 4 months old, 16ish pounds!!! He's 9 months now and still in size 4's. We sized up because he was having blowouts with almost every poop! We use size 5 overnight diapers because he's a really heavy wetter.

We moved to fours around 6/7 months. She was about 19 pounds, so below the min. weight but the threes weren't covering her bum crack. She has a tummy and thick thighs.

R is 20lbs and still fits in 3's but they are getting tight on her thighs. We needed more overnights and moved up to size 4's and they are working fine. So we are going to go ahead and get size 4's when we use up all the 3s

we like to put them in the next size up as soon as it seems a bit snug, esp in length. it sounds like she's ready for 4's!

our 6 month old (18 lbs) is in 4's now... a bit early, but he is tall, and now way more comfy and no more red lines! and no leaks, either
