I was 13 hours from when they got organized. 9 hours from being admitted to hospital.

I was 3 full long days from when I started having regular(ish) painful contractions. I never had contractions that were 5 minutes apart though until they finally had to put me on pitocin. I mostly labored at home, so it was only 5 or 6 hours from when I was admitted until the baby was born.

31 hours of consistent contractions with G (17 augmented).
45 hours of consistent contractions after a weeks worth of nightly false labor (6-7 hrs each) with P (intervention free).

Around 14 hours from when my contractions became regular (and truly uncomfortable!). But--my water started leaking around 8 hours before that.
With my water breaking and true contractions not starting right away, I don't really know what to count as the beginning!

@runsyellowlites: I had 2 long nights of false labor too. Ugh that was the worst! So frustrating!

I count from when they became regular, which started around 9:30 am. I had DS at 8:02 PM so just about 10.5 hours.

From first (easy) contractions to baby, 56 hrs. I had back labor so they were frequent but not consistent. They'd get to 2 min then back to 6 min then back down again. From oh sh*t this REALLY hurts to baby? About 44 hrs. Also it slowed to basically a stop for one or two random hrs in between then back to frequent contractions, maybe 4 min apart back labor. Back labor sucks!

Mine was 10.5 hours from water breaking (contractions started immediately) to baby's birth.

From the time I had contractions I couldn't talk through (e.g had to stop, apply counter pressure, etc.) until baby - 34 hours. I had an epidural for the last 6 hrs.

Just under 8 hours from water breaking we had a baby in our arms. False labor the two nights before, but it stopped once I went to bed. Must have had small contractions before, but I didn't notice until I got in the car to get checked at the hospital.

Wow some of you are amazing! Ok you're all amazing for having babies obviously but 30+ hours of strong contractions?! You're my heroes!

@travellingbee: Yea I was not happy with the false labor! Needless to say by the time consistent contractions started I was already exhausted since I hadn't slept in almost a week!... I slept as much as I could in early labor! lol

15 hours from when my contractions started. My contractions were pretty regular from the get go.

51 hours from when the contractions got organized . I started having contractions about 8 hours before that. 45 hours of "hands and knees" contractions.
I went to the hospital at 30 hours but left because I was only 2cm and I didn't want Pitocin. I went back at 43 hours at 4cm.

@78h2o: Meh... it's alot easier when you're home & your only other option is an erc that you want to avoid. lol. Hopefully next time I won't have to transfer & labor will be atleast a smidge shorter. lol

25 hours of consistent contractions with Tractor Girl, 2-3 hours of hard labor, less than a minute of pushing. Unmedicated hospital birth, only "intervention" was a hep-lock.
