If I don't eat leftovers by the 4th day, I toss it. With Charlie I'm more conservative... 3 days at the most with him.
What about you?

If they're in the fridge at a week, they get tossed. Depending on what it is, I might eat it on the 6th day but I get creeped out by leftovers. Sometimes I can't remember when I made it, so I just end up throwing it out b/c I don't want to eat something that has spoiled.

Let's say I cooked something on Sunday, if it hasn't been eaten by Wednesday night then I toss it on Thursday.

Ooh, this makes me feel a little better! I always feel weird leaving leftovers in the fridge more than a day or two, because I'm always so worried. I once fed RJ some cooked pasta that was in the fridge for maybe 4 or 5 days and he broke out into hives (the only time in his life)... could have been anything else but I still kick myself for it.

I give things a week, though at the week-mark, they get a thorough look-over before we'll eat it. Maybe I'll be a little more cautious once we have kids, but right now, I don't get too worried, haha.

Two days is stretching it for me. I used to leave them a lot longer, but hubby is weird about leftovers and will only eat them the day after, so he made me paranoid now.

3 days is the max for us. And usually leftovers don't last that long in our house. We are big "take leftovers for lunch the next day" people.

I do my very best to serve it to us again the next day and if I can't do that then depending on what it is I might serve it on the 3rd day, but definitely by the 4th day it gets tossed.

I won't eat anything over 3 days old, DH won't eat anything older than 2 days.

We'll eat leftovers 3-4 days old but with LO, I try not to give after the 2nd day.

Oh I'm bad about leftovers. I give it one day and if nobody eats it, I throw it out.

I keep mine for almost a week. I think it's because my mom would keep leftovers for a long time (and sometimes keep food on the counter overnight), so I've built up a tolerance for food poisoning.
I just finished off some leftover beef & rice I made last Wednesday!

i'd say around 3 days. if i haven't eaten it by the 3rd day, will probably throw it out, unless it's something that could last longer?

If it's food I've made, I'll go 4-5 days. If it's take-out, after 2 days, I toss it.

I toss after 3 days, DH would eat it until it looked or smelled funny though (ewww)

I usually only eat leftovers for 2 days & then I toss them but now that I have DH I always ask him first because he is WAY less picky about it. Sometimes I throw stuff out without asking because I am scared he will say yes & eat something yucky that will make him sick!!

I'm pretty bad with leftover/expired food. If it looks fine and smells fine, I eat it! HA! Bad, I know. Hubby on the hand doesn't eat leftovers past 1 day.

3-4 days, max. If it has meat in it, I am usually iffy on the third day.
