I personally know three under the age of two. And then through friends and family know another 5 (maybe 6?) under age 10.

I also know a ton of kids and adults named Audrey.

I knew one, who would be about 5 now, plus I met her grandfather she was named after. I know a couple of Audrey’s too. I think meeting that many in just a few months is really unusual!

That said, my daughter has a super popular and she’s the only one in her class, while another class has two boys named Leo, which seems way less common to me.

One is nearly 11 y/o (an aqaintence of my DD), another is a former student of mine from when I taught upper elementary 7 years ago (* now a young adult about 19), and, the last - I went to high school with the her (so, closing in on 40 y/o). With that stated, I have heard a handful of parents call out the name to a toddler or 2 while out-and-about.

I know no children named Aubrey, but I do know one Audrey very well (my daughter!). In the 2.5 years of my daughter's life, we've met one other baby/toddler Audrey and I can't think of any Aubreys.

We don't have any Aubreys in our circle, but my daughter is Audrey and we have a family friend that named their daughter Audrey this year as well.

I only know one - a friend/acquaintance from high school that named their daughter Aubrey - she's 6 or 7 now. I know two other people (again, just Facebook friends) that have used the name Audrey for their kids.

I think it is mostly coincidence and factor of a specific name or sound that is popular in your area! The same thing happened with the name Cora for me. There are 3 Cora's in my daughter's daycare in her age group (2 classes with 12 kids each). And over the past year, I've have four friends (in different friend groups) use the name.

ETA: The hospitals in our area release the top 15 baby names from the previous year. It would be fun to see if your hospital does that and check to see if Aubrey is on the list!

I dont know any personally but I believe its gaining popularity like the Jayden/aiden/brayden from a few years ago

I know an Aubry who is a colleague and two Aubreys who are twelve and six.

I know only one and he is in his 60s. havent came across any kid Aubreys. I know a couple of Audreys.
