I ordered balloons at Party City for LO's party yesterday & I am trying to decide if I should change the amount.

At first, I thought I'd just do a few on the mailbox, since my style isn't too traditional and the theme is "apple of my eye," rustic picnic-y. But then I thought it needs to look festive, so I ordered 2 "bouquets" of 12 balloons each, and 3 smaller groupings of 3 balloons each.

Over $40 is kind of steep for balloons that deflate in hours though & we are on a tight budget, so I am wondering if I should scale back? They showed me bouquets of balloons that were 10-12 & they didn't look huge but I don't know what is typical, especially for a party theme that doesn't really need traditional decorations? (Though I am torn on this... I don't want it to be too adult/boring.)
