Maybe 5 or 6 that I would do just about anything for and I miss all the time! I hate not living near anyone I love!

Not many, really one or two close friend and then my two sisters and two of my cousins. I am pretty introverted and stink at being good at keeping relationships strong though. I have been making a concerted effort though to expand my friendship base recently though but it's hard!

I'd say I have two really close friends. I'm close with my brother too and I probably hang out with him the most, but I definitely can't share all the "girl stuff" with him.

Hmm, sadly it dwindles as we age and establish our own families.... I would say I have 6 really close friends, and a handful of acquaintances. Lucky for me one of my best girlfriends from college just bought a house in my town. Yay!

Moving halfway around the world after University did not help my friend situation at all. I'd say I have some close friends here but not a bestie...my best friend lives a 10 hour drive away. My closest friends after her live in Canada, so we mostly keep in touch over Skype and FB. I always wish I had closer friends nearby

a have a lot of good close girlfriends as a group, but probably 3-5 that i'm really close with depending on the timing. but the good thing is, i can get back together with many of them like no time has passed!

5 close friends locally and a couple that live far away.

My 4 best friends from high school ( known for 15+ years) all live local and my best friend from childhood lives about 1.5 hrs away. I'd consider my SIL very close friends as well. I think living in the same place you grow up your whole life allows you to really keep in touch easier so I am lucky for that.

One who isn't local T^T and then family. I have been working on it, but it takes a lot of effort to get to know people super well when you don't see them all the time like friends I would meet at school or work. And then of course my awesome online friends

6 very close childhood friends that live near, within an hour driving distance.
1 that relocated to Boston and 1 that moved 8 hours away but every time we see each other we just pick up where we left off.
I also have a group of mommy friends that I am close to that consists of 7 women who meet up for lunch or dinner without our kids or husbands. I really enjoy having female friends and it's a must for my sanity to have and maintain these friendships. Although it does seem harder to make new friends these days.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: This is true for me also. I have lived in the same area my entire life so keeping in touch with my childhood friends have been very important to me throughout the years.

This is a hard question for me to answer. This is something I always ponder about myself. I'd honestly say 0. However, I have many friends that I see regularly, we have dinner dates either every other month or every few months... but there aren't any friends that I see on a daily or weekly basis. So I guess I'd have to say 0..... I try to analyze this LOL and I think it's just that I am independant and that I didn't have any sisters, just a brother so maybe that affected my relationships with other girls? IDK

Not sure my definition of close matches everyone elses...since I've not really done the BFF thing since high school, though I would say 6 close friends, plus my Sister.
