Anyone get KU 4-5 days before O?

I have read an account of someone who only DTD on O-5 and got pregnant but only one person.

My Ob said if both you AND your partner's conditions are good (his sperm is healthy, your canal is conducive) then: it can last like 9-10 days. I think that's awesome for women who can't track O. -
I THINK so. We were NTNP, so I don't know exactly which day I O'd. I was tracking my periods in an app, and it predicted the day I O'd due to my cycle history. I have no idea if it was right. If it was right, we BD'd on Sunday afternoon, and I didn't O until Friday!

I'm pretty sure that's what happened with this LO. If so it would've been 4-5 days pre-O.

Wow! I'm surprised (and happy) to read these responses. I had read that most likely only 2 days before ovulation count (I think FertilityFriend only counts 3 days before). But I like knowing there could possibly be a longer window of time!

@Happygal: I'm with ya on the positive responses! I think FF said 3 days is "average" but sperm can easily last 5+ days before O!

They say up to 5 days is reasonable, but 1 day before O and the day of O are the most likely to give results.

Yeah sperm lives approx 5 days, the egg has about a 36 hour window.
