we had 116. it was a great number for us! if i were to do it now, i would probably go smaller though! we are going to a wedding this weekend with less than 45 total. it will be so intimate and nice!

I think it was like 57 or something. I was shooting for a little smaller, but it is hard with family. It worked out well though.

Less than 30 at the reception! At the actual ceremony (it was a religious thing, so not everyone could attend) there was about 12 people.
Then we had another reception in CO for DH's family, and there were about 50 people there I would guess? I didn't have anything to do with planning that one

Around 120-ish, I think. It was enough to be fun, but was still too many people to be able to talk much to anyone.

130, mostly because our extended families were not able to attend...too far for most cousins too fly.

130 plus wedding crashers. We wanted smaller, but we fully realized that our wedding was for our families and not just for us.

We ended up with about 125, with about 1/3 being under the age of 10 (that's what I get for being one of the last of my friends/family to get married). DH wanted it smaller but having family there was important to me and just my mom's side (brothers, sisters, kids, kids kids) put us at about 40.

Our ceremony was "small" and just family: had 150, our reception we had over 600. I know a TON of people, but our families are both huge and we decided the more the merrier!

@jessiejo17: omg-600!!!
We had 98 - but would of loved it if we could've done 120.

@crash806: I know it sounds crazy, but in our area (Nebraska) this isn't uncommon to have this many people. WE were from neighboring towns, so we were able to get married in my hometown and have the reception in his (within 15 minutes of each other) so it was impossible to leave people out! And we both have HUGE families (his mom has 8 siblings, mine has 5!)
