In a 24 hour period how many hours does your LO sleep? My LO is two and doesn't take naps anymore but sleeps about 13 hours at night. I'm curious how this compares to other kids her age, if she is getting enough sleep.

My DS is only 16 months but sleeps about 13-14 hours total. Normally 11 hours at night and 2-3 hours for his one nap.

Is it normal for them to drop naps at 2?
DS sleeps anywhere from 10-12 hours straight at night and during the day takes a 45 minute - 2 hour nap.

On a good day he will sleep about 10 hours overnight and a 1-2 hour nap.
Most of the time though he sleeps 9-9.5 hours over night and a 2 hour nap.
He is 32 months.

11 at night and 2-3 during the day, so 13-14 hours total. He is 21 months. He was sleeping 14-15 per day until about 2 months ago though. It has only recently shortened.

He's 26 months. On average, he sleeps 8pm - 7:30am, so about 11.5 hours at night. And then during the school week he takes at least a 2 hour nap at school, but on weekends we only get 1-1.5 hours. So I guess that's roughly 13 hours a day total.

DD is 27 months and a good day would be 10 hours at night and a 2 or 2.5 hour nap. She rarely sleeps more than 10 hours at night (and occasionally less). Her naps tend to be more consistent although lately it's been more like 1.5 hours.

@Modern Daisy: my LO dropped her naps just before two. I don't think it's common though.

@Bao: just curious, when did your daughter go down to one nap? I'm worried about DS dropping his nap early because he went down to 1 nap on his own around 11ish months which is really early.

@NurseDMB: she went to one nap around 11 months I believe.

At 2, we were still having a nap, it would range between 2-3 hours, with about 10 hours overnight sleep. I felt like it was on the low end, though. My son has high sleep needs, but he's a terrible sleeper.

@Modern Daisy: N is 4 and still hasn't dropped her nap. I think it all depends on the kid.

10-11 hours at night (8ish to 6 or 7) and then about a 1.5-2 hour nap during the day.
eta: he's still working through the jet lag a bit but this is about what they told us to expect at custody.

2.5 years old (30 months). She sleeps anywhere between 8-9 and wakes up between 7-8. So about 11 hours a night. Plus a 2 hour nap during the weekends. At daycare, they nap between 12:30 - 2 but she doesn't fall asleep right away and they wake up the kids at 2, so sometimes, she gets very short naps. So it's not that consistent anymore during the week.
