@winniebee: we're still on two naps.
C is 14 months. Sleeps overnight 7:30-7:30 and two 1.5-2 hour naps. She's high sleep needs and I'm grateful.

These days, between 10 and 11 hours. She is almost 2.5 years. She recently started going to bed a little later and waking a little earlier though. Not sure why, maybe the days getting longer. Over the winter, she was sleeping closer to 12 hours each night.

Almost 23 months:
9-11 overnight. 10 is more common.
1.5-2.5 hour nap. It's been trending short lately.
So between 10.5-13.5 hours. I'd say most days, it's between 11.5-12 hours. 12.5 seems to be when she's most rested, though.

@snowjewelz: @Adira: @Meridian: I know this thread is a bit old but how many hours are they awake prior to their first nap and then between waking up from nap and going to bed? Lately we have been struggling big time with ridiculously early wakeups (4:45am).

@Freckles: K was just going through this! She dealt with 5am wake up's for a while but now it's back to normal again so I have no idea what that was about.
K wakes up between 6-6:30, naps from 11-12:30 or 1, and then bed at 7. So 5 hours between wake up and nap, and then 6 hrs (sometimes more, sometimes less) before bed time. I'm def stretching her at 6-6.5 hrs tho, b/c she passes out right away.

@Freckles: Logan's awake about 5 hours before his nap. He wakes around 7:00; nap is at noon. Then he goes 5.5 hours before bed. Wakes up at 2:00; bedtime at 7:30.
What's his mood when he wakes up at 4:45? I'd try to leave him or try to get him to go back to sleep at that time.

@Freckles: These days (at 17 months), usually about 2 hours in the AM before his first nap, which is anywhere from 30 mins - 1 hr. And then he's awake about 4 hrs until his 2nd nap, which can be 1 - 2 hrs. And then about 3 - 4 hours of awake time until bedtime.
He actually didn't start napping well until the last month or so!! But bedtime has been consistent for quite a while now.
We really should try and get him down to 1 nap though...

@snowjewelz: @Adira: Lately he's been up at 4:45-5am. He can be up for about 7 hours before his first nap at daycare (11:45am), before passing out for 2-2.75 hours, and then i rush him to bed so that he's asleep within 4-4.5 hours. He wakes up crying so that's why i feel like he's not really getting enough sleep. There's also the issue of not having a balanced day (up for too long in the morning).
@Meridian: That's great you can still do two naps. We do 2 naps at home b/c it's so hard for him to get anything longer than 1.5 hours.

@Freckles: oh yeah, bad mood = need more sleep! but he won't go back down at all? does he fall asleep quick at bed time?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Freckles: With my first, he still needed two naps until 18 months, though he was only getting one nap at daycare most days. It was really rough until he was fully transitioned to one nap. I would try to get your LO to go back to sleep when he wakes up at 4:45/5:00, but there may not be much you can do until he's fully transitioned to one nap.
