So far, it's just Bee's brother and her parents. He's not married, so there are three total in-laws in my life. I figure that each additional in-law creates the potential for drama, so I'm grateful that the total number is fairly low!

8. DH's parents and then 2 SIL's and 4 BIL's. Would be 9 but my sister actually just married DH's brother this summer and so she doesn't count as an in law

DH has his parents, a sister and her husband. So, 4 there.
Then my sister is married, so I have a BIL, but not sure if he counts as an inlaw or if I'm the dreaded in-law there, based on everybody else's answers not including their own siblings spouses.

Six husbands parents and two siblings with their spouses, no kids but ours so far.
My husband only has one in law, my mom since my dad passed and I am an only child but he will tell you even one is enough to cause drama and plenty of it too.

Currently I have 4 - DH's parents, SIL and her husband. We also have 2 sweet nieces. We just spent the weekend with them and everybody got along great. Phew!
I'm about to gain more in-laws when my brother marries his fiancé next summer.

Technically just 1, DH's dad. He is an only child and his mom passed away several years ago.
But, he has an aunt who can stir up some drama and also one who is awesome and we adore, so I definitely would put her on the in-law list

Tons, MIL, FIL, BIL (and wife and 4 kids), Grandma in law, aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides and their spouses and kids too!

Do we not include extended family? Because my in-laws seem like a very tight-knit group, so often we'll see EVERYONE.
For immediate family, there's 7 (MIL, FIL, SMIL, SIL+family). For extended family that we see multiple times a year, there's an additional 12 (grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins).

I have MIL/FIL, my husband has two sisters, one is married, and my brother is married. So that would be 5 so far! Though the most drama in my family comes from my own sister.

I have my husband's parents and sister and then on my side, my sister's husband. We are all pretty close, my mother in law just picked up little B while I'm working at home so we'd be lost without them.

2--MIL and BIL.
on the reverse, my husband has 4 ILs--MIL, FIL, SIL and BIL.
we're a pretty small family. our siblings don't look like they're going to have kids.

From my husband's side, I have a MIL and a FIL, but they live in separate states. He also has a brother who recently got married.
On my side, my brother is married, so I have a SIL.

I probably have everybody beat on this .... My husband is the youngest of 6 of I have 4 sister in laws and 1 brother in law. they are all married, so an additional 4 brother in laws and 1 sister in law. My MIL is still alive, so add one for her. So I have a total of 11 in laws. Plus 14 nieces and nephews.

Weelll...are we counting our siblings' spouses since they are also our in-laws? I have 2 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law on my side. On my husband's side I just have his parents, his sister and her husband, and their kiddos.
Pretty small.

3 (MIL, FIL and step-MIL) is how I think about it.
When MIL and FIL divorced when my DH was in high school, they each remarried and DH gained 5 step-brothers and 1 step-sister. We are not really close with any of the steps, everyone was an adult by the time of the remarriage, so I don’t really count them. But I suppose technically I have 14 total, including applicable spouses. All of the steps have kids, I’m not counting them as it’s a pretty silly descriptor to count by the time you get to “step-niece-in-law”.

My MIL and FIL, DH's brother and his wife and one baby niece. DH has a host of aunties and cousins too, who we see a couple of times a year.
DH has only inherited one from my side!
