Bee and I plan on having 2 kids. So I guess we're having less kids than my parents (4 kids), but exactly the same number as kids as Bee's parents had.
My friend's parents had four kids and now she wants to have 4 kids too. Her husband had only one other sibling though, so he's not on board....
How many kids did your parents have, versus how many kids do you plan on having? What about your SO: how many kids were in your SO's family, versus how many kids your SO would like to have?

My parents have 3, DH's have 5! I'd love 4! Not sure how many DH wants 
But I know he wants more than 2 for sure.

My dad has 4 (two of us with my mom), DH's parents have 2 but in my MIL's words it's because "they started late". Our aunts and uncles on both sides all have 3 though. I think people do tend to repeat family size. We're planning on 3 or 4.

My parents had 2 and DH's parents only had 1. I think they would've had more but it took them a loooong time to have him.
We want 3 kids. I knew I wanted more than one because I loved having a sister growing up. DH didn't mind being an only child because he loved playing by himself and being independent, but he also loved being a "mama's boy" lol. But he wanted more than one. I don't know- 3 just sounds like a good number to us.

My mom has 2, but my dad had 6 (huge age difference between us kids though). Hubs's parents had 3 but that counts one who passed away before Hubs and his sister were born. We would be fine with just 1 or 2.

My parents have 4 and we are all really close. DH thinks that 2 is enough and it is for our size of house, size of car, the college funds we've started...but if we run across money 2-3 years from now we might try for third and that would be our max. I just don't know if I can do another pregnancy haha (we'll see how labor/delivery go with #2).

My parents and in-laws both have two kids. I've always wanted 4! Hubs also wants a big family but I think realistically, we'll have 2. After our second, we'll see how things go and might entertain the idea of a third but I'm pretty sure we'll stick with two.

My parents and in laws both have two kids. We plan to have two. But if our earnings significantly increase we would entertain the idea of a third. But only if our first two are the same gender. If we get a boy and a girl in our first two shots we are definitely closing shop.

My parents had 2, then did foster care when my mom decided she wanted more (tried to adopt two kids I was friends with, but the boy had a disability - they went to someone who'd worked with that disability before.) His parents had 5 kids. We plan on 2, and if we want more, we'll adopt.

Both of our parents had 3 (my parents were trying for a boy, his were trying for a girl...neither got it!) We only plan on 2, but we are openminded on a 3rd right now, however trying for the opposite gender doesn't seem to work for our families! haha

Both hubs and i have one sibling each. His mom is an only child and his dad has 1 sister. My mom has 3 sisters and my dad has 2 brothers and sister. So while i have 13 1st cousins that i see all the time, he has 2 that we see twice a year.
My mom's theory is never have more kids than you have hands or don't let the kids out number the parents. I dont think my dad could have handled a third but my mom probably would have wanted one more. If she hadnt had so much difficulty conceiving my brother.
I would like to have 3 kids and have them 3-4 years apart, hubs def wants two and said we'll see how it goes re: #3.
I wish my brother and i were closer in age (9 years) like hubs and his brother (3 years) and I hope to stay close to my cousins so as we age and have families they can grow up like 1st cousins instead of 2nds

My parents had 6 and his had 5. My husband would be thrilled with 6 kids but not me! my mom was having kids for 20 years of her life! she is turning 50 next year and still has three at home!
I think 3.. after actually giving birth, my husband is lucky if he gets that many!!
