DD has 9 more months of DCP at the full rate but then she will be in K 1/2 day and at DCP 1/2 day - so still paying but rate will be less.
DS is in 1st grade and does before and after care at his school and will do that thru 6th grade
so...... forever!!!!

22 months for E, although she is eligible for 15 hours free in 8 months time.
52 months for LO2, from the date I intend to go back to work (17 months of those will be subsidised).
It works out a further 21k. We've already spent £9k so far..... and these are part time places, just 2 days per week.

9 more months for DD (then just after school care at $200/month)
47 more months for DS (roughly $33,000 more to pay)

At least 30 months more for DS #2. DS #1, can't do math this year in the morning. Probably about another year or so before 5 year old kindergarten.

Um, a lot. And we'll likely need before/after school care once she starts school.

@runnerd: hahahaa same!!
DD has 3 more years and DS has 5 more years.

All depends if we do private or state pre-k. But even once she is in elementary school, still have after school care, so we are paying $$ for a long time.
grapefruit / 4988 posts
Ugh too many. 3 years if we stay in this city (where there is public pre-K) or 4 years if we move. And we don't even have #2 yet.

if i send dd to t-k then 20 more months of double payments (but need after school care), ds will be 44months i think

Our kids are both going to private school k-12, so.. Don't even wanna do the math

It will never end (almost) since we are doing private school. But we're really loving the school so no complaints!
nectarine / 2210 posts
Way too many! Plus well likely do private school too. So that's about 21 more years including college! And that's just lo1!
watermelon / 14467 posts
48 on H....that doesn't count the number if we have a second.
Well, that's depressing. Almost $40k left to pay for just H. I wish we had public pre-k.
pineapple / 12566 posts
For the moment we are planning on private school, so it isn't ending anytime soon, but my husband's employer covers 80% of education costs starting in primary school, which we are definitely going to take advantage of!

34-ish? She is going to kindergarten fall of 2018, so just shy of 3 more years....She's turning 3 next week so can I say we are halfway there?!

33 months? for DS1
The other one is still cooking so.... a lot.
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@T.H.O.U.: That's a great after school price, ours would be $500+ here!
pomegranate / 3604 posts
Um. Years and years and years. By the time lo1 is in kindergarten we'll be starting payments for #4.
pomegranate / 3845 posts
Possibly only 5 months, depending on the pre-k situation, but then summers and before and after care until goodness knows when!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
Sooooo many...DD2 is due in March...
Trying to decide when we will transition dd1 to public pre-school...think 4yrs...at that point we'll need in home care from 3-6 daily...
