For LO1, I was in for two nights because of an issue with the catheter from the epidural.

For LO2 - none! We went home four hours after she was born and it was brilliant. Hoping for a repeat with baby #3.

2 nights because I hemorrhaged while delivering DD. Would have only been 1 if everything went smoothly.

N: Went into labor on a Friday morning, had him Friday evening and was discharged Sunday morning.

E: Went to the hospital on Monday, he was born Tuesday morning (early). I had some complications and he stayed in the NICU. I was discharged Friday but ended up back at the hospital Sunday morning for a blood patch.

6.5 days - admitted for water breakage, 36 hour induction, emergency C section, allowed up to 5 days post partum under my insurance and DS was admitted to NICU for jaundice, so I took advantage of the full 5days so I didn't have to commute back and forth. I did tell the charge nurse I was happy to boot myself out if they ran out of rooms and another mom needed the bed but it was quiet in the ward.

2 nights after birth with DS1 because we didn't know if I was group b strep + so they treated me as if I was.

I was admitted for an emergency induction on Monday, baby was born via emergency c section Tuesday, and we were discharged on Saturday. So 6 days / 5 nights. We would have been discharged Friday but they asked us to stay an extra day because baby had lost a little too much weight, and they wanted to make sure it went back up.

    2 nights after birth.
I went in Wednesday at 530p, he was born at 5p on Thursday and we left Saturday afternoon. We had to stay longer because my water was broken for more than 24 hours before he was born.

4 nights with DS and 3 with DD. DS wasn't wetting diapers so they kept me an extra night, 3 was standard with DD.

5 days, 4 nights with both boys (c-secs).

That's what my insurance covered with no complications, so that's what I stayed. I would have stayed longer if they had let me, lol! 24 hour room service, yes please!
