Do I need in the next size up? N has had a ton of summer outfits in 0-3 month size that we got when he was born and now its time to move up to 3-6 month and also get warmer, winter clothes. I'm just not quite sure how many outfits he will need, where he had so dang many in 0-3 month.

I'm sure it just depends on how often you want to do laundry
LO has maybe 30 LS shirts (including LS onesies), 15 pairs if pants, 6 pair of fleece jammies (she needs more of these), and then some zip ups/jackets. It's all in 18 months so I think she has plenty. Some of these were hand me downs, second hand from a consignment shop or gifts though.

Baahahah, my poor LO is basically going to live in Carter's Sleep n' Plays.
Seriously, I shit you not, I have like, 8 Sleep n' Plays in NB and 10 in 3 month...and that's about it. I'm trying to justify it by saying since we live in MN, and LO will be born right at the start of a long, LONG (freezing cold snowy) winter, it'll be best...right? Right?

@ms.janedoe: this is about what I have. Every time I buy clothes, my DH calls it unnecessary because we have all these sleep and plays.

Lo has about 15-20 outfits (onesie and pants).
It is more than enough as long as I do laundry weekly. She foes to daycare and we are always out and about on weekends and I don't like her to be outside of the house in pajamas.

At that age, I think I had 15-20 onesies, 10 pants and 3 sleepers.

We did sleep and plays until 6 months. Outfits were too much work, lol.

@bao : Holy cow! That is a lot of outfits! He definetly won't be getting that many..I'd go broke!
@ms.janedoe : My baby lived in NB sleep and plays the first probably 8 weeks of his life. I only had jammies for NB size clothes. And at that little, anything else would have been silly.

I just bought 12 month outfits and got:
20 pairs of pants/leggings/jeans
15 shirts
10 onsies
3 hooded sweatshirts
5 fleece PJs
5 long sleeve/pant PJs
A peacoatI went crazy but justifying because it's the first time we've had to buy her clothes, everythign else was gifted or handy me downs from my sister. (Some of these clothes are hand-me-downs too)

@HLK208: I agree, if anything we will run into her growing out of the shirts before winter is over.
I also got some jumpers/dresses that can be worn with leggings or tights for church/dress up occasions.
