DS is 2 and has about 7 pairs. I never paid more than $25 per pair though. He is pretty hard on them and they seem to get pretty worn out after daycare.

2 pairs of tennis shoes, 2 pairs of boots, 1 pair of casual flats and 1 pair of dress shoes. So... 6.

A boot and a shoe. She only wears the boot and the shoe is a backup.

Usually, about 3-4ish. Athletic shoes, crocs, sandals, and another pair (or two sometimes) of fun, comfortable shoes. I know, it's a bit much! And if we're still living in snowy climate a pair of snow boots too. But the good thing is that I only have to buy one set for both of my boys.
Well, until my oldest starts to break his shoes this is what I'm going to do.

J is 3 and has 3/4 pairs of sneakers, 2 pairs of TOMS, 2 pairs of boots, a winter shoe, a pair of moccasins, two dress boots and a pair of loafers.
And sandals.14?

3 pairs of every day shoes (blue, gray, and black), one pair of winter boots, and one pair of rain boots.

My LO is 12.5 months and he has 5 pairs. I can't help myself!

my almost 2 year old DD has about 10 pairs! this includes her sandals from the summer, natives, mocs, boots, etc as well as two pairs of house slippers/warm booties. is that bad?! ha.

16 months and 6 pairs. Almost all were handed down from some awesome and stylish peeps

25 months, and he has 3-- one pair of sneakers, one pair of brown sneakery boots, and one pair of snow/rain boots.

In ones she can wear right now:
1 boot
5 tennis shoes (2 were hand me downs and she won't wear them)
2 dress shoes
1 slipper (won't wear)I think that is all. She is about to move up sizes and I have two sneakers already that I got on sale. She is almost 21 months.

@rachiecakes: I always wondered that myself! Thankfully (??) I have two boys.
And it doesn't look like you're alone either. I would probably be the same if my husband doesn't keep telling everyone about my kids' shoe problems. He used to take pictures to show ppl. All for fun though! -

She's 2.5. She has:

3 pair dressy shoes

At 20 months, we have the following in his current size (7):
1 pair of sneakers
1 pair of brown shoes
1 pair of crocsWe also have 2 pairs for his next size (7.5) and 1 pair of Toms in a size 8 that he has a while to grow into.

She actually used to have a lot more. Right now she has a pair of sneakers that fit and a pair of pink sparkly ugg type boots. She really needs snow boots, a pair of neutral fuzzy boots, and a pair of dress shoes.

Off the top of my head, at least 10 pairs (many from Grandma). She rotates through them all on a regular basis depending on the weather/her outfit.

4 pairs: 1 pair of black patent mary janes, one pair of pink mary janes, one pair of purple sneakers, and one pair of black floral mary janes. The purple shoes are too big and fall off her feet, so she'll wear them more in the spring.
