I think there's a sock thief that breaks into my house and regularly steals my socks. I'm down to less than a dozen... maybe 6 or so? I don't really know since I stopped wearing socks, as a silent protest against the sock thief.
If you're reading this Sock Thief, one day I will catch you in the act and you WILL return all of my socks!!

The second time around, I thought that 'Sock Thief' was 'Sick Thief'.
I would say more pairs than I could possibly ever wear in a week and that's if I changed my socks every time I ate... I just love the cute patterns on the socks. But in my defense, they're varying lengths so I guess it depends on what I'm doing or the weather - ankle socks, crew socks, knee high socks, fuzzy socks, soft socks... just... socks!

I have a BIG sock drawer! But like @NaturallyCathy: , I like cute prints and designs. I also have the need for multiple "categories" of socks: ankle, regular, knee highs, winter weather/boot socks, workout/sport socks, and that doesn't even begin to get into "hosiery" like tights and knee highs.

I have a whole drawer devoted to socks. I think I have over 20 pairs.
