DH is cleaning off my old laptop & he's having a smh moment saying that noone needs 13 gb worth of pictures... mind you some of these pictures date back to when G was a toddler/pre-schooler so almost 9 years. (I used to have more but lost almost all my pics from his infant/toddler years 
)
I of course don't think that's all that much considering, but thought I'd ask the hive to see what the consensus is.
How many gb worth of pictures do you have?
And how do you store them?

Not sure how many GBs, but we back up everything on iphoto, external harddrive, dropbox and vzw backup.
I learned my lesson after losing and (finding!!) our digi cam sd card a few months back that started on birth day.

He's probably right, if there are a lot of duplicates.
I really weed through them on a regular basis because I get analysis paralysis with large numbers of things, I can't make decisions when I have too much stuff.

I have several thousand on my computer, maybe 2.5k of A and another 2k of other things. I just transfer them to snapfish until I'm ready to print, so if my computer crashes I still have them on a site.

I don't have LO yet, but I'm sure it'll be maaaaany gigs of pictures. I currently have about 25 gigs I think over the years of random and vacation pics. Each vacation I probably take about 4 gigs worth now.

I can't remember offhand, but I have pictures dating back from 2004. We back them up with a house drive and looking into other options as well. For now, I'd love to store them on thumb drives and put them in a safety deposit box. The hard part is that media for picture storage changes about every 5-7 years. Cloud storage seems like the best idea since it's technically offsite on other servers.

I have a couple of 2TB drives I move all of our photos to (and keep some on our computers to see all the time). I have 30GB from just her first year. Eeep.

Um, i have TB of photos. I use an external hard drive. And by "an" i mean more than one. I also back up to Amazon Cloud

For personal use I probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-500gb. For professional use... more.
