DS is 18 months old and it seems like he poops a lot. In the last couple months most days it is 4-5 times. His poor butt gets so sore and red by the end of the day.
How many times a day is normal?

My lo is 20 months and goes once a day. -
Miss A is 23 months and still goes 2-3 times a day!

My 18 month old goes usually once, sometimes twice a day. But my nephew that is the same age goes like 5 times a day. Like @wheres_c said, I think that there's a wide range of normal.

Usually 1-2 times a day for both LOs.

Usually 2-3, but he can range from 0-5. He's 15 months.

@wheres_c: I thought that there probably a range of normal but I thought 5 on a regular basis was a lot.
@Purpledaisy: Good to hear another kid is the same.
@Kemma: I wonder if they ever just go once a day?
I just keep thinking when he is older and using the potty it won't be so bad.

1-3 for my 18 month old LO.

On most days, he goes 3-4x/day. Five would be a lot for us too but not unheard of. His last daycare (affectionately) called him "Poopin' Pete!" which make me think it's on the higher end of normal.
