LO1 slept with 1 animal from 1-2 yo then it increased to 3 animals, 4 animals, etc. I think he may have too many now. We do tell him no sometimes to certain animals. How many does your LO sleep with (have in bed or crib)?

My LO is 14 months and sleeps with 1 mini bunny stuffed animal and one normal size hippo stuffed animal along with an A&A dream blanket. She tends to use the hippo as a pillow.

About a dozen stuffed animals, one or two baby dolls, a few books... it's a party in there.

DS1 is almost 4. He has more than I could count. It's insane, but he loves it. He literally surrounds himself with them.
DS2 is 14m. He sleeps with 2 mini jellycats and 1 big one.

@Bao: Haha!
It was just one (a lovey) until she moved into a big girl bed at 2.5. New ones joined slowly one by one. Right now she has 4 that are constants but a "B list" that rotates (baby dolls) so on any given night she has anywhere from 4 to 50 toys in her bed.

Just two, and they are relatively recent additions. I think the most I ever allowed was 4, and he had them all in a row, down the side of the bed.

2. A stuffed hippo we used for sleeping training and she added a stuffed seahorse about 2 months ago. Although last night she also insisted on sleeping with a Minnie book.

LO is 19 months and has a wubanub with the pacifier cut off, a whale lovey blanket and a soft princess doll. They stay in the crib.

My DS is technically a preschooler (3), but he sleeps with close to 20, plus a couple of books every night!

About 10 lol it's ridiculous. They're mostly at the other end of her crib, and she snuggles with 1-3 of her favorites.

2 books, 4 blankets, 3 pillows, 4 paw patrol figurines, 6 stuffed animals. It's a party in there, but I've decided this isn't one of the battles worth fighting a 2.5 year old over. When I'm cleaning her room, I'll sneak a few things out, but she usually catches me.

She's 2 and currently about 10 stuffed animals, 1 baby doll, a pillow, 2 blankets and her 2 lovies. Her pack just keeps growing!

DS (25 months) sleeps with a legit menagerie. He has 9 Sesame Street stuffed animals (including 2 large Elmos), 3 loveys, 2 bla bla dolls (large dog, panda), and maybe 4 other random stuff animals (e.g., a jellycat elephant). Plus an angel dear raccoon pillow and an A+A dream blanket. It's a little insane but he also loves being in the crib with "all friends" so I'm not going to fight him on it.

DS has a pillow pet style pillow, 2 lovey towels he chews on, a blanket, a dog, a whale, a bear, and an elephant. So its quite the collection. I don't think he particularly cares about the stuffed animals aside from the dog. We actually put them in there at first because he started jumping and rolling around and bashing his head on the crib rails so we thought having some stuffed animals in the corners would prevent head bumps. Now we leave them there because he talks to them when he wakes up early.

@Bao: haha it certainly looks that way in LOs crib too!
I would say if he's being reasonable that night, 1-2. If he's being a weirdo, sometimes there are 6? It looks like a darn zoo in there sometimes!

oh gosh, right now I know there are 4 blankets in there and I'd guess about 5 stuffies? and a small pillow. she mostly stuffs them underneath her body when she's sleeping. Usually she stuffs at least 2 underneath

18 months and she has 6 and counting.... and add a couple of books at nap time. I draw the line at forks (which was her request today. Weird)

Right now he has 3 blankets ( he changes his mind about 40 times about which one he wants to use that night), a dog, a bunny, a little dog and a wubbanub he hasn't used in 2 years.

12ish? Plus three pillows, a pillow pet, and a light up stuffed animal. She loves to have her lovies with her and I would rather just not fight her about it at bedtime.

Around 6. I think they might breed at night as the number keeps increasing.

i bought some extra angel dear lovies to keep as backups. for some reason, all 7 of them are currently in her crib.

I think 5 animals and like 3 blankets (one of which is a tiny toy blanket that MIL crocheted for her, she uses it to put her stuffed dino lovey "night-night" alongside her, SO CUTE).

There are like 7 in his bed, but he really only snuggles with his blankie and sometimes Simba. A is only 8m old, so no stuffed animals, just her blankie.

@Bao: this!
Teddy is the fave but the whole entourage has to be there, plus two pillows and a few blankets.

2 dolls, a unicorn, a giant dog, a giant elephant, an elmo and a stuffed Merida doll.

4 year old sleeps with 1-4 stuffed animals. 3 year old sleeps with 3 stuffed animals and my 1 year old doesn't sleep with anything yet.

15 month old sleeps with 3 stuffed animals, a small blanket and a stuffed baseball.

3 that are always there, plus at least 2 books (usually more). There is a rotating crowd of additional "buddies" and 2-10 more join each night, depending on...who knows what. I'm good with it, because the more things she has in her crib the longer she'll happily chill on her own in there after waking up!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Bao: haha same with us.
While she was in her crib she was allowed 4-5 stuffies. When she moved to her bed when she turned 3 we said she could have as many as she wanted to make it seem enticing. This has somehow escalated to all her stuffies. The bottom half of her bed is a massive pile of stuffies. It makes doing sheet changes a real pain.

0-2. Right now it happens to be a small pillow-like rabbit and the tiny grandma that comes with the Big Bad Wolf from Ikea.
