We used the 3 day method, and by the 2nd day she stopped having accidents every day. But that method may have different results than other methods (meaning some methods are supposed to be more gradual). she did have accidents about 1-2 times per week until about 4 months into it? Then very rarely has one now. I wonder if your daughter needs some extra motivation to stay dry? Dd was having trouble at school so they did a sticker chart. We did sticker for pee first, then once she started getting that we did stickers when she stayed dry. That helped a lot!

We trained about two months ago. DD literally had no accidents for the first seven weeks (!!!). She began waking up dry through naps and overnight within a few days of being day training. It felt like some sort of fluke, but I was pretty excited.

However, earlier this last week, we had a handful of (pee) accidents. She'd be so invested in playing, then hop up with a shocked face and not make it to the bathroom, in time. I've had to really increase my reinforcement for staying dry, and model what it looks like to remember to take bathroom breaks. I think being in undies and using the potty have lost their novelty, especially since she is no longer getting treats for successes. We've gotten back on track, and she's been doing really well, again. Accidents really bum her out, so she's been more conscious of "paying attention to my tummy" so she doesn't "pee pee all over the floor."

In the end, I figure we'll continue to have "off" weeks here and there. Seems to be the norm, especially in regards to transitions, illness, etc.

I'd reintroduce or restructure a reinforcement system to keep your DD motivated, and just model what it looks like when you're really enjoying something, but still listening to your body and taking those potty breaks. Good luck; she'll get there!

She will be 4 in June and still has an accident about once a month. Always just pee and she almost makes it to the potty.

@Cherrybee: Ten accidents in a day seems like a lot! I don't think LO even pees 10 times a day total. I'm counting it up and typically she goes pee 6-7 times a day and poops once, though that doesn't count the fact that she often will pee her nap time pull-up.

The only time LO peed that much was early potty training when I feel like she wasn't emptying all the way, so she was peeing every 30 minutes.

When she has accidents do you try to get her to finish on the potty and get it all out? I wonder if on accident days she's holding it and letting a little out at a time which is making it worse.
