One of the daycares I visited included an entire page in the welcome packet about why your child might come home dirty, messy, ruined clothing, etc and I thought this was so odd/funny. I certainly wouldn't expect a pristine child at the end of the day, especially as they get older and do more activities and play outside, but this whole preemptive spiel made me feel like I should expect to pick up my child in shambles every day. Maybe they've had issues before with parents being upset over their kid's clothing getting ruined but I don't know.. Would you think that was weird too or is picking up a destroyed child at the end of the day just par for the course?

As an aside I did not choose this particular daycare (for a bunch of reasons, but not because of this).
