Wondering how much everyone is exercising while pregnant? I've tried to walk for 30 minutes daily, but its getting tougher.

I try to walk an hour everyday. Tokyo is a good walking city so it's not too hard.

Uh. I'm not? I wasn't big into exercise before being pregnant (read: didn't) and I'm certainly not into it now. We have dogs I could walk but I'm just...lazy, I guess. When my legs hurt or I feel like it, I go out but other than that, I'm not really exercising at all. My OB doesn't seem to have a problem with it since it's what I was (wasn't) doing before.

I'm not going out of my way to exercise, but I walk a good ten minutes each way to my bus to get to work, as well as being on my feet ALL day at work. If my lack of weight gain is any indication, I'm getting a LOT of exercise.

I didn't get much exercise when I was pregnant because of my migraines. Exercise triggers them And I wanted to try everything to keep them away so I could keep the drugs out of my body.
We ended up walking a lot in Petsmart towards the end. I don't like to leave my dog at home, and it was so hot outside, so we'd take him and walk around. It was nice because there were things to look at, seats in case I got tired, and a bathroom in case I had to pee!
Also, I did lots of swimming. Again, I was preggo in the summer. Water zumba saved my life!

I did Pilates up until week 5-6. Then I got sick and was going to wait until I was all better cause I didn't want to put more strain on my body. That was over a month ago and I still have a cold. I hope to start up again soon however seeing how exhausted I am these days it might just be a pipe dream.

Ummm slim to none. I was a sporadic exerciser and now that I am pregnant, it has gone down to none. I find I am getting winded easier and tired all the time.

i exercised pretty hard 2-3 times a week up until 8 months with Charlie, yet I gained 45 pounds with him! I didn't exercise at all with Olive though and gained just over 20 pounds with her. Go figure.

I'm at 33 weeks now and still I'm jogging 3-5x/week and adding in some leg workouts 2x/week.

I've been going to a weekly aqua aerobics class since I was 16 weeks and a prenatal yoga class (which is more stretching and breathing than actual exercise) since 20 weeks. I also walk a fair bit.
I find I have less hip and sciatic pain when I move my body. The fact that I never did this much exercise before getting pregnant is probably why I'm entering my 3rd trimester weighing 6kg less than when I got pregnant.

I haven't really exercised much since I found out I was pregnant (and really not much before). I have decided to start some kind of exercise routine since there are so many benefits to being in shape while pregnant. I have been walking my dogs about 2 times a week for about 20-30 minutes (my husband does it the rest of the time), and did about 3 miles on the stationary bike we have at home. I plan on getting a prenatal workout DVD...any recommendations?

I was good about going to the gym very regularly before getting pregnant, but I haven’t exercised at all since week 6, which my doctor rags on me about every time I see her. I believe her that the more I exercise during pregnancy, the better I will feel and the easier the pregnancy will be, but I feel too sick and tired out now to do anything. I plan to take a prenatal yoga class after the holidays, and hope to also get back to the gym then too. We’ll see.

None, I use all the energy I have trying to keep my house clean.

When I was working I would work out at the gym 1-2 times(30 min cardio sessions) a week and also take our dog on walks. I was just too tired to do more and just wanted to nap!
I've been on maternity leave for a week and I am definitely exercising more....5 trips to the gym and walking our dog. But I imagine it will be hard to keep up!

I've walked the dog every day from 15 min to 1 hour. And from 14 weeks (too tired before), I've done weekly yoga or swimming. I also feel like I walk a lot around the City, but overall, I am exercising MUCH less.

I'm walking 20-30 minutes on the treadmill most days while in the first tri. Because it took us so long to get here, I'm being pretty conservative for now. Once I'm in double digit weeks and baby/babies are still healthy, I'll probably try to up it to at least 45 min of walking, but won't go back to running just for peace of mind.

I've been doing prenatal yoga -- both at home with videos and I also go to a yoga studio that does prenatal classes. I also try to walk whenever I can. Over Thanksgiving DH and I did a short easy hike, which was really fun, but it made me realize how much less energy I have these days.

I've been a runner for years so I was used to running 6 days a week and doing weights 2-3 days before I got pregnant. I gave running away at about 10 weeks as my pace was just pathetic and it was too much for me. Instead I walked for 30 - 40 mins, 3-4 x a week and tried to do weights 2x a week. ( I had to ease off on the weights a little).
I found it a tough balance between getting exercise to keep myself strong and healthy and being too tired. My LO is 7 mo now and I am back running, though still scaled back as I am nursing still.( another exercise balancing act!)

I have been doing aquacize twice per week, and walking the dog a couple of times per week, but that is it.
