I found out yesterday my awesome brother is bringing up a 9" Green tea mille crepe cake from Lady M in NYC for M's birthday! They've become a tradition in our family on birthdays.
My initial plan was baking 2 layers of 9x13 with the top layer being cut into a 1 shape.
We have 26 adults, 6 kids & 3 babies. With the addition of the 9" crepe cake do I still need 2 layers of the 9x13 or can I get away with doing just 1 layer of a 9x13 cut into a 1? A cousin is also bring a "smush/mash" cake.

I would make a smaller cake just in case

@bunnylove08: I should have clarified. I still plan on baking a cake but was wondering if I could get away with doing just 1 layer or do I still need 2 layers. My intent with the 2 layers was cut the first layer first then cut the second layer.

i think 1 layer should be fine with the crepe cake. Do you know if your guests have a sweet tooth?

@bunnylove08: Yes, I think most everyone would want a tiny sliver of each at least.
