I have a Skip Hop Versa that was around $50-$55 after I used a registry completion coupon. I just spent $160 something on a Danzo.

Probably too much. I have a Vera Bradley one that was gifted to me ($100) that I never use, and a Kate Spade one that was $300-ish that I use every day.

As you probably are aware, I am the wrong person to ask!! Hehe. I've never paid over $150 for a diaper bag, but my current favorite bag is the Danzo, which retails for over $200.

Most diaper bags you can find in Babies R Us like the Skip Hops and JJ Coles are just too small for me, and too obvious that they are diaper bags. I started with a basic Skip Hop messenger but quickly outgrew it. I've seen the one you linked here, and I didn't like the fabric it's made of (pulls too easily) and I don't like how Skip Hop puts so many obvious pockets on the outsides of their bags, like the big zipper across the top. Same with the JJ Cole (outer zippers) but that one sure looks comfy to wear!!!

I got a PPB bag off of eBay (used, but very gently) for like $45.

I bought a bag from Thirty-One for around $50 dollars. I also have a Vera Bradley diaper bag that I bought used for $20-25. I have to admit, I've been having some serious diaper bag envy over that green Danzo that was posted!!

@bluestriped bee: We were gifted two diaper bags but both didn't end up being a good fit for us, so I bought the Skip Hop bag you posted, but it was NOT that price at the time. I got the black one for $85. I use it as my everyday purse for work to carry my pump supplies and as my diaper bag on the weekends.

@bluestriped bee: I see you've got the Danzo on the brain today too! I'm interested in the responses to this question.

Question for those that have one of the Danzo hobos @mrs. wagon: or others, will it double as a large purse after my diaper days are over, assuming it holds up for that long?

The only bag I have ever paid for is my Skip Hop duo. It retails for around $50, I think. My current Skip Hop Studio was gifted to me, and I also use a Burberry diaper bag which was gifted (not sure how much it actually cost). I like some really pricey diaper bags, but have never pulled the trigger yet (except for the Danzo Hobo, which I returned).

@Revel: yup, I bought the Danzo thinking I will continue to use it as a large purse after diaper days are over. I've had the Danzo for a month or two now and I don't see any reason why this won't be true. The only difference once we're totally diaper-free is the outside pockets will be free for other uses. The inside pockets are all used for either my own purposes or things that the kids will always need (extra clothes, snacks, toys, antibacterial wipes, etc).

@cascademom: I got that same bag. Haven't used it yet, LO is due next month. How do you like it?

@MrsRoo: I love it. There's so many pockets in it. I fit everything we need in it perfectly. For me, it's a great bag.

I have a Coach diaper bag, but my parents got it for me. I never, never would've spent the money. I plan on getting a second for DH to carry so he's not embarrassed by my girly purse-like diaper bag, but it'll be under $50.

I was gifted a Thrity-One Utility tote which I've used most for everyday. I bought a LL Bean backpack for use when traveling. I also use my Thirty-One Metro Retro bag as a purse/diaper bag.

I'm big on functionality outside of just being a diaper bag and am not a fan of a lot of little pockets so all of mine have big openings with very few pockets.

@Bluestriped Bee: I use our Ergo and the backpack together all the time with LO is in the front carry; haven't tried it with back carry because I don't use that position very often and if I do DH has to carry the backpack

@bluestriped bee: We wore our son in a Beco until he was 6 months-- we didn't use the stroller until then. He was in the front, and the backpack was on the back. It was a lot to carry around, but that is a problem with baby-wearing no matter what kind of bag you use. Now, at 16 months, we don't use the Beco often because he's getting heavy, so it's not really an issue anymore.

@bluestriped bee: I got that exact JJ Cole bag, pattern and everything. I LOVE it. that being said, i am still waiting to use it--but so far, i love the look of it and i have already started putting stuff in it and it seems spacious enough!
