Just wondering if I should bite the bullet and spend $200 on the Little Partners learning tower, or if they ever go on sale?

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Oh, I didn't even see that one when I looked on Amazon! How do you like it? Is it holding up pretty well?

You could get a used one off of Craigslist for $100 or under! I magically found one at a local thrift store for $25, so I scored big time. Our kitchen is really small, but it has been a life saver for me. DS can play independently for 20 minutes at a time, which is a lot to me at this point!

@pinkcupcake: we got the Little Partners learning tower as a Christmas gift from her grandparents. It was free shipping promo and free slipcover (turns into a popcorn/lemonade stand). It is super sturdy and well made.

My husband made one for $60 over a weekend. We got the plans from Ana White's blog.

I'm hoping to spend a little and make one! I love how simple and small this one is and would prefer it to the big $200 ones:

@pinkcupcake: yes, she loves it!! I don't understand why it has some bad reviews on Amazon...it's great!!
Even if it wasn't cheaper, we still would have chosen it over the Little Partners Learning Tower because it folds up flat. That was a must for is since we have a small house!
When she isn't using it we are able to "fold" It flat and store it away.
Oh, and she loves the chalkboard on the side.

I've been looking used for almost a year and no dice.
I think I'm just going to have DH build one a la Ikea Hack.
@Rainbow Sprinkles: that is good to know. My only other hesitation about that one is it looks "flimsy"? How sturdy is it especially because of the hinges?

We have the little partners and LOVE it. We ended up spending more than $200 because we got some special attachments. i think it's worth every penny.
