I'm interested in reading these responses! We only go every other month or so, and if we walk out spending under $250 we are thrilled! Haha

Following.. We got same deal

I plan to spend about $200 per quarter for visits to the store. The more I go, the more I spend, so I limit myself to 4 trips a year.

Obviously, when we're buying something on line, we budget for that specific item and there isn't as much opportunity to impulse shop.

I go about twice a month and I spend about 250+. Usually one trip is about 75 and one bigger trip when we stock up on meat.

We go every 2-3 months and we can usually spend less than $200. Our typical list is toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, chicken, and bread. There's always some random item that ends up in the cart, of course. We'll typically buy some other food items that can be frozen. Sometimes my husband will get beer, and sometimes we buy the Kirkland brand Allegra.

It's easy to spend a lot but I don't find it too hard to just stick to the essentials. ETA it's just DH, me and a 6 month old in our household.

I truly believe their cash registers start at $200! We seem to be around the $300 range.

We spend probably $400/month there. We go every 2 weeks and buy most of our food there. My LO eats a million pounds of fruit/avocados/cheese every week and we save tons of money going there.

The saving grace is that we no longer spend any money at Target and only go to the grocery store for an odd item or fresh herbs/random produce now.

@sheskrafty: oh yes you are right. I barely shop at Target. Maybe once every month or two to pick up a birthday gift or clothes for LO.

I don't budget per trip, I just have a general monthly grocery and household budget. I only go to Costco when we need something specific (paper towels, diapers). Since our budget is pretty tight I behave myself in Costco and don't buy anything off list.

@lawbee11: when we buy paper towels, toilet paper, etc. at costco it lasts longer than a month!

@mrskc: We are the same! We go weekly (ours is 1.5 miles away!), and buy a lot of our fruit and meat there, in addition to household items.

We also get gas there, so our monthly Costco AMX bill is usually around $500 - 700, depending on if we had a few big ticket items. This is probably way too much... ugh!

Diapers probably are what we use the most of and we buy monthly. We don't restock paper towels, tp, shampoo, cleaning stuff every month. Probably once every 3-4 months I would say for each item, but we don't buy it all at once. If we restocked all at once i am sure it would be $200-300+ for that trip.

I just looked and Charmin comes in 30 jumbo roll packages and Bounty is 12 mega rolls. They last for awhile.

$200 every two weeks plus $100 for gas (2 cars) every two weeks. We're under budget often and sometimes put that aside for our more expensive trips (when we buy something like a sonicare or bigger toys for LO's). That budget includes Carter's pajamas or outfits for LO's, food and household items. We would probably leave with spending $100-120 without food (every trip so every 2 weeks). We spend $20 on whole milk every time we go

We only shop at TJ's and another grocery store for small items and spend probably $100 a month at those stores.

We usually go weekly and spend about $40-$60, but once a month or so we have to do a big trip to stock up on household supplies and meat and will spend around $250.

So, how busy does everyone think Costco will be this weekend with this deal that was just posted? Our Sam's membership is ending so we hopped on the bandwagon, as well!

@mediagirl: I bet it will be crazy! Ours doesn't open until November, but I bought one since I can redeem it when it opens. I'm excited!

I average $500 a month for our family of 5, sometimes less. I restock tp and paper towels every 3-4 months. I buy almost everything I can there, the snacks don't last long since my son has the appetite of a horse. So that's chicken/pork, condiments, diapers, paper goods, snacks, alcohol (love their beer and wine prices), cheese, bread, milk. I restock at our local grocery store too, my grocery budget is out of range. I need coupons!!

We spend probably $250 a month there spread of over 2-3 trips. We get their wipes, paper towels, TP, laundry detergent, Oxyclean, and Carter's clothes for the kids there. We also buy a lot of our food their - frozen corn, peas, fruit, organic chicken, cheese, organic eggs, canned tomatoes, coconut milk, organic sugar, chocolate chips, vanilla, etc.
