How much do you typically spend on baby shower gifts? I know for most people it's dependent on how much you can afford and how close you are with the person to whom you are giving the gift, but what's your range?

$20-$50. Like you said, depends how much I can afford and how close I am to the person.
I can usually get away with spending a little less because I always have extra diapers (LO is cloth diapered but we use disposable when we travel, and then I always have extras of those) so I'll make a diaper cake.

I usually aim for the $50-$100 mark. If I don't feel that close to them, then $50 is good but if I am close to them I try to do more around $100.

It really depends on who the person is to me. Is that bad? I go to a lot of showers. Some at work, others in a more formal setting. If the person is close to me, I usually spend about $80-$100. For my co-workers that I'm not as close with, I spend around $40. I don't know if this is too much or too little but it's what I'm comfortable with.

It depends for me. If it's family or someone I'm really close with, I'll spend around $50. Otherwise I'm closer to $25.

Depends. Co-worker I stay under $20. Friends around $50. Relatives around $75. Close/good friends and close family (siblings) I'll go around $150+.

$30 if not that close. Anywhere from $50-$150 for people closer to me, depending on what I think they need.

I usually stay around $40-100 depending on how well I know the person. More if they're a relative.

It depends! I spent a LOT of money on my ex's SIL's baby shower. Got her a Gucci diaper bag and a ton of other stuff. -.- I loved her like a sister though.
For people I'm not super close to ~$25-75

Depends on who it is. Around $25 or $30 for an acquaintance or coworker, but around $50 for a close friend.

Depends on who it is, but for a friend or family member $50 - if it's a close friend or very close family member, usually around $100.

It depends. If it was a co-worker I hardly knew, I'd spend about $20. If it's a very close friend, over $100. If it's a friend and I'm doing a lot for the shower (making favors, buying decor, cooking) then I'd spend about $50.
But that was then. Now that I live abroad and only working part-time, the max I'll spend is $50, including shipping. Plus, no one really does baby showers here - the last baby gift I bought I mailed and she didn't have a baby shower.
