We usually do one big grocery haul every two weeks. $140 or so usually sometimes more if we do multiple stores (bulk, grocery, fruit, korean). MIL and my mom both buy us groceries too which is why we're able to get by! They like to do it and we are grateful!

WAY too much. I am working hard on separating household goods from our "grocery" total. And it should help when we're not feeding another adult!

Anywhere $80-$140 a week. Depends on how much stocking up we do (olive oil, cokes, etc). Plus eating healthy is so expensive.

I try to keep it at $100 a week, but it's usually $120 a week. I try to buy stock up on meat when it's on sale, so it fluctuates.

Usually around 100 per week, but up to 150 sometimes. Seems ridiculous to me for feeding two people, I would really like to cut it back quite a bit! I need to learn how to meal plan.

@LuLu Mom: @Smurfette: Thank you! We are at about $130/week but that's including household goods. I told DH we need to cut it down but he does all the grocery shopping and he doesn't think it's really possible with the amount of food we eat.

@locavore_mama: I don't understand how we spend so much. I don't even cook full dinner every night since DH is gone. So I eat salad, fish and spinach, etc. easy stuff. I buy meats when they are on sale and freeze. We tried to buy ground beef at Costco but they don't have the lean ground beef. So frustrating.

@Smurfette: same here. We price match, we know what's a good price on items, we buy on sale + coupons. We know what are good prices at BJs and what's not, etc.
I mean we do cook virtually every night, bring our lunch and make our own breakfast. We do take out once a week which is budgeted on top of grocery budget.
I think every month I'm going to start taking out $10/week out of the budget. When it's gone, it's gone and we scrounge in the house. Which is hard right now when I'm pregnant and have no appetite in the first tri!

Around $140. It's hard because even if I meal plan and all, DH will go to the store and pick up a bunch of stuff. Also I'm pregnant and nursing and probably eating close to 3000 calories a day. I feel like I'm constantly hungry! We also try to feed LO just organic which is very hard to do in our town.
On the bright side we've really cut down our eating out! Including coffee shops and bars too. So that shifts more expenditures to our groceries, although it's cheaper overall.
Food is NOT cheap in my tone either. It's so frustrating.

We try to keep it to $100 a week, that's our budget/goal, but we usually end up going a little bit over. Last week was $114, but included a few non-food items, like storage bags, etc.
ETA: Our budget is $400 a month for groceries, not including alcohol, and $50 a month for household items.

Oh god, so much. This week I spent $210. Last week it was $220. Week before was $155. We rarely eat out, take breakfast and lunch to work, and eat healthy. $700/month for 3 is high. I meal plan and we don't buy junk.

I try to keep it under 100 for when I'm buying the groceries - most of the time including household items. We do eat out a couple times a week. And sometimes, my husband will make a grocery run on the weekend that runs about 40 bucks not including the wine he usually buys.

Probably $200 or so, but I buy in bulk a lot. I also cook almost every meal so we need a lot of groceries for 4 people.

It used to be around 100/week, but lately it's 130-140ish. I blame part of it on pregnancy and part of it on both DH and I eating way healthier and buying more fresh produce than before. I don't mind splurging on food though.

Average $75, often it alternates one wk a bigger shop, the next wk less. Trying to get it down to less than that, but it's tricky.

About $100/wk, but that usually includes household things like paper towels, cleaning supplies, or toiletries. So probably more like $80 on actual food per week.
