Just out of curiosity, how much do your LO's classes cost? I'm interested to know how prices for activities vary from region to region.
In our city, it really depends. We are signed up for classes that run for 4 months and are $250. But over the summer we were going to classes at a place that charged $260 for 8 classes. (I decided to sit out those classes until the weather gets really bad and we are itching to get out of the house!)

I think it depends on what the classes are!
I know a old co-worker was taking her LO to these fancy music classes and they were pretty expensive.

Swim for us is $72 a month. That's the only one we do other than annual memberships to the zoo, etc.

Right now she's just in a music class that is $7 per class or $5 If you buy in bulk. That's a per family rate so when lo #2 comes I won't have to pay more. Were going to start a weekly painting and play doh that's just $1 per class. She was in gymboree and that was $60 per month.... But they closed the location. Other then that we go to library classes and they're free

We have signed our 3.75 year old for ballet and swimming through the city's parks and rec--very cheap at about $4 a lesson!
We have also done a bunch of other music/dance type classes that all seem to be around the $250/3 month range.

The tumbling class I just signed her up for is $25 per month (once class a week). Mommy and me classes typically run about the same for two classes a week.
There are more expensive music classes that run about $50 per month but I think I'll wait till she's older to sign up for anything more expensive (she's 18 months)

Swim lessons are $1 a minute for 15 minute private lesson. Then it is $10 a week for 30 min group lessons.
Soccer was $120 for 10 classes (this doesn't include the 2 hour drive each way).
My Crossfit class is $54 for 2 months, 30 for 1 month and 9 drop in. It's a 20 minute long class.
Mommy and me dance was $40 a month.

We're in Beijing but all of LO's classes are taught by English speaking teachers. Her swim class is about $75 for 30 minutes. We had to buy a membership to the school. Her music class is about $25 for a 45 minute class. She was taking baby gym class before and that cost about $30 for a 45 minute class.

@betsyboop: Yes! I haven't been yet.... they started the day that we started doing construction on our house so I'm stuck home for 2 weeks, so I don't know how good they are. But for $1 who really cares?
