I am starting to feel self conscious about how much we make! We haven't been in the workforce more than a year, with DH just finishing law school and me grad school. Together we earn about 65,000. I saw the post on how much do you have in your 401k....we have like $300 in my IRA! (I work part time and we just started it at my company a few months ago. Though I do contribute the max!)

We save 100% of my salary post daycare. So it's around 10k a year. But we has a baby and we are trying to buy a house. (We can borrow our down payment from ILs or finance it at a reasonable rate through a non profit in or state).

It's frustrating living where I do because our cost of living is the national average, but our incomes are a third lower than average.

I don't know how we will ever be able to have as much in savings as the people on here do! And that's knowing we make twice as much as most people in our state do!
