I was just watching a news segment that is saying adults should drink about 8-12 cups of water per day...varying on the size of the adult.
i'm way behind on my water consumption today. how much water do you drink on a day to day basis?

I drink at least 50oz a day, or at least try to. Yet, it's still no where near the required minimum of 8 cups per day! I used to be horrible about hardly drinking any water at all. I recently learned that I drink more water if I consume it out of a water bottle so I've been trying to make sure I have one with me all the time.

I drink over a gallon a day. I have a 1 liter water bottle on my desk and I fill that 3 times just while I'm at work. When I'm home I drink a glass of water about every hour ir two.

I am the worst water drinker I only like ice water and am trying to make myself finish 2 (I don't remember the # oz, but maybe 32, not positive though) water bottles each day. Sadly, I don't always succeed. DH drinks a gallon bottle each day, plus what he has at meals... He makes me look like such a slacker

Before I got pregnant, I drank oodles of water. The morning sickness made that a lot harder, but now I'm working back up to my usual 4-5 16 oz glasses a day. (I naturally drank that much on my own to feel hydrated, and apparently that's how much I should be drinking for my weight)

I have the worst heartburn right now and I swear drinking water is making it worse!!

All I drink is water. Still, it's probably around 5-6 cups.

I drink a ton of water, I would say between 80-120 oz. a day depending on the day (More during the work day than on weekends.) That's not counting all the fruit I eat where I get additional water intake.

@lydg: I have noticed this too!!! Milk is the only thing that helps me with the heartburn. Not loving this side affect as I have never had it before being pregnant.

Before pregnancy I used to drink probably 6-8 cups a day, which I think is a good amount since I'm smaller than the average bear. Now, I'm thirsty all. the. time. On an average day, I'll drink close to a gallon. I don't know what I'll do if I start to swell and have to drink more.

I am trying to average 100 oz a day to keep the braxton hicks at bay (that totally rhymes! I digress . . . ) I usually get close, or go over, but I don't know how well it is working to reduce the contractions.
I also try to keep butterbean's *pool* as full as possible!

I average 3-4 bottled waters a day, but being pregnant it gets to be a pain having to pee every 5 minutes.

I've never been a great water drinker (or drinker of much liquid at all) and while I've gotten much better during pregnancy, it's still not perfect. The most I can really get in is about 60oz and that's a stretch for me. I found that a 33oz water bottle helps, and I try to drink at least 2 a day. Still working on my goal today...

I used to be TERRIBLE at drinking water. It was my New Years resolution to drink more water in fact. Now I'm up to about 64 oz. per day plus what ever milk, fruit, veggies I consume. Not bad, but I definitely have room for improvement.
