Mine is 2 1/2 years old and it's not as raised as it used to be, but it's still pretty dark and prominent. Initially I had a scheduled c section for olive and was planning on getting that scar removed!
I guess I'm stuck with this scar forever. It's not the scar that bothers me so much as it makes my pot belly look more prominent! Ah well the battle wounds of motherhood.
How long has it been since your csection and how much has the scar faded?

Almost 6 months post partum and it is bright red and slightly raised. It still hurts if I press on it!

Mine is almost 6 months and it's still raised and a deep red. It doesn't hurt but it itches sometimes. @Mrs. Bee: how do you get the scar removed?

11 months and the only part of mine you can see is like 1.5 inches right in the middle. The rest is flat and you can barely see it. I think Im having mine removed wth the next one too

I'm at 8 months, and the majority of it is a very faded pink. Some of it has almost disappeared, but about an inch of it is still dark pink and raised.
@autumnlove: mine hurt when I pressed on it until about 7 months. It's crazy that they can stay sore for so long!

I'm only a month out and mine is just a little pink scar, its barely visable and completely flat.

5 weeks out and it's just a thin pink line, not too bad looking. I don't feel any pain or any built up scar tissue when I press on it either.

I'm 8 months out and mine is still slightly raised and itches from time to time. It is definitely getting better slowly - it used to be really red and dark and would bother me when I wore jeans.

2.5 months and red and slightly raised on the right, weird dark gray and flat on the left. It was pretty nasty, but I've been using Scar Away.

I'm 6 months pp and the scar is pink and raised. It also itches like crazy from time to time!!! I do notice that parts of it is flattening out but it'll take a while I think.

It's been 20 months and mine is still pretty dark pink and raised. I think my scar keloided so it looks worse than normal.

Been over 4 months and my second c-section scar is still pink but not raised anymore as my OB made sure of that this time around.

Most of mine looks almost like it's just a wrinkle or crease, so it's not too bad.

Wanted to revive this thread. Can anyone who previously commented update? Or anyone new to add to it?
I'm 7 months PP and mine is still dark pinkish-brown and it feels like there's a rope under my skin. And it's still very numb.
Bonus points if you can recommend any products that you think helped fade it. I use bio-oil when I remember, since it's left over from stretch mark prevention, but I doubt it's been consistent enough to make a difference.

With my 1st c/s I had an ugly scar but after my 2nd she made it "pretty" haha
I can barely notice it at all -very light in color and not raised at all
I never treated it with anything

I had a c-section 2.5 years ago, and my scar is completely flat and just a thin, white line. It does wrinkle a bit if I bend over, but otherwise, it's barely noticeable.
Will have a RCS in September. Will let you know if/how it changes!

@SweetiePie: Apparently, I don't heal well in terms of scarring in that area.
After my 1st c section, it was a keloid scar. It was dark red and definitely raised - similar to your description of a rope underneath. At my 2nd c section (20 months later) the doctor cut out the scar tissue and told me to apply vitamin e oil or mederma to it. Well, it's basically still a dark red scar with a thinner rope feeling. I'm 11 months pp. I also have olive complexion so I wonder if that makes my scars turn darker.
I'm jealous of those with minimal scarring.
