The last four days R has been pooping 3+ times a day. She had spaghetti sauce for the first time Monday night but hasn't had any since Tues afternoon and she has pooped 3 times today. Is this normal? She is 10.5 months.

When Sadie started table foods she pooped SO MUCH. Up until then she was a once-a-day, regular, by-the-clock pooper, so it was nuts. She's mostly regulated now, but still pooping at least twice a day.

DS usually poops 3 times a day and the doctors have never said anything about it. Its his normal. He's 16months.

My 5 yr old has always been a big pooper - he poops 2-3 times a day, every day!

DS can poop 3 x before 10AM (according to my sitter). I think he holds it in just for her because we might get 1 poop when he's home with us on weekends. I think his most in one day was 9 poops which if I recall correctly was after he had eaten something with beans in it 2-3 days in a row.

LO once pooped 6x in one day. Like big massive poops. Scared the crap out of me...no pun intended.

For our LO, 2 poops a day at 17 months is a lot. Last weekend, we had 2 massive ones and a smaller one. I had no idea where he stored it all. For one of the poops, he got a shower because it was everywhere. Also, he likes to poop in this one pair of grey fleece pants. I swear I put these pants on and he poops on cue.

@photojane: She has been eating pretty much all table food for a couple months now. I don't know what is going on.

M's poops really started increasing once she was on whole milk and more table foods. It went from once every other day, to 3-4x a day.

As long as it's not diarrhea, it should be fine.

Definitely. (Not a problem. ) DD has had 6 blowouts in one day!

M goes about 2-3x a day. Yesterday she only went once at the end of the day and it wasn't much so I think she's making up for it today, as she's already had 3.

My LO used to go up to 5 times a day! The Ped said it could slow down or she could continue the rest of her life like that. Wasn't a concern. She is now down to 2/day.

DD goes through this sometimes. It seems to coincide with her increases in appetite for solids.
