For me, it's been 100% for years! I think the last time I actually traveled somewhere new was my honeymoon, which was 11 years ago. My wife's family lives in LA and my parents lived across the globe, so visiting both of them is almost a month of travel out of the year!

Not counting business travel it's been all but one trip in the four years since LO1 was born. 83% of our travel and we haven't even taken the LOs to visit my parents.

Since our honeymoon all trips have been to visit family.

Probably 50%? Before we had kids we often combined visiting in-laws with pleasure travel - they live in England so we'd go there for a week and then go somewhere else on our own, since travel is so cheap once you're already in Europe. We did Normandy, Paris, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Morocco like this. If you count that as two separate trips then I guess it's more like 30%, since we also have been to Vegas 6 times in the last 6 years. (I'm not counting travelling to my family, because that's just a 3 hour drive)

Definitely the majority! Besides quick weekend road trips (like within 2 hours), we haven't done any traveling that wasn't tied to family or work trips for over 2 years, and even that was for a wedding. The last time we went anywhere just for fun/the sake of it was maybe over 5 years ago now? Omg that's sad, lol!

90%. Most other travel is day trips to nearby cities.

Next year it will be traveling to family for my sisters wedding. We have decided in 2018 we are going on a family vacation just the three of us to a destination of our choice.

Maybe half. We visit my ILs 2-3 times a year and occasionally we have met up with them elsewhere. But we often manage to squeeze in a getaway. We also travel for vacation without seeing family. Now that we are locked into the school calendar, we aren't nearly as flexible.

Maybe 30%? And that's by choice to see my family as they have a beach house in Florida and love going down there!

A very small percentage. Most of our family lives nearby, and the rest that aren't require a few hours in the car. We've done two flights where we saw family, but it was more a visit while we were traveling, not necessarily specifically to see them.

0%. Both sets of parents are 20 min away. We did just stay at an Airbnb in SF for 5 days over Thanksgiving which is where my sister and her family live- but the question just included parents.

We travel a lot. We love it and it's important to us!
I'd say we travel about every otherweekend spread between my parents (1 hr), his parents (3 hrs), my aunt and uncle (3 hrs), and good friends (2 hrs).
Plus twice yearly meet ups with my college friends (2-3hrs) and Christmas with my extended family (3 hrs).
Pre-baby, we usually did one 2 week international trip per year for vacation with long weekends camping or driving somewhere close-by scattered throughout the year. Post-baby we've bee doing more shorter domestic trips, often based around where my hospital sends me for conferences (so they pay for my flight!).
Overall, I'd say 40% to see parents/siblings, 30% to see friends/extended family, 30% vacation.
