We adore our CRV. Right now we just have a seven-month-old and two big dogs, but it would be no problem to put another car seat in the back if we needed to. We are not very tall, 5'6" and 5'10", so if you need more leg room in the front it might not work as well with rear-facing car seats.

We have a CR-V and we love it.

I love my CRV! I'm on my second one now.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I started the trend in my family. When I bought my second one my parents bought my first one from me for my youngest sister. My middle sister bought herself one so now all three sisters have CRVs! They're all different generations though. My middle sister has a 2012 (lowest end model) and it is sooooooo nice. I love the standard back up camera and Bluetooth capability in hers. I'm jealous!

I LOVE my CRV!! I have a UK spec one now and will be buying a US spec one when we get back to the states.

I drove my friends CRV once and it was a bit small for me, but I am a giant. The next car we get will probably be a minivan. I plan to drive it forever and want to be able to drive the three of us around, plus grammy and whoever else might want to join us. I hate that we have to take several cars when we want to go somewhere with a few family members. Also, when she's a little older I fully intend to cart her and her friends around!!

I used to drive a Nissan Pathfinder but it was a pig on gas (lots of space and an amazing vehicle overall). Since we are only NTNT (is that the right acronym?) at this point, when we bought our new vehicle all we needed was the trunk to comfortable fit two hockey bags. We figure we will drive this car for about 3/4 years and then trade it in for an SUV (hopefully at that point we would be pregnant with baby #2). Our next SUV will hopefully be a hybrid .. gas prices are only getting worse and we drive a lot.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Other than the steering wheel being on the opposite side? haha, I don't think so. For real though, I have always said I would never own and SUV and I really like it. I drove a Mustang before I got pregnant, for chrissakes.

My friend and I can cart all 3 of our kids around in it though. Her 7 year old between an infant seat and a convertible!

I used to drive a Honda and looked at the crv and loved it but wanted 4wd. DH had me look at the pilot which I loved more, but was a gas guzzler. I had a friend recommend the Saturn outback and I LOVE it. We got the highest end model for what we would have paid for a crv and not nearly as many options.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: haha, heated seats was a requirement for me too! I have a 2010 now and I love it! I have the EX-L with no extras.

I drive a Rogue and I doubt I will ever go bigger. I can't stomach the fuel costs on something bigger and it will fit two carseats very well.

DH and I plan to have 4 kids. Presently we have one little one. We are looking at buying an SUV or van as our next car. Plus we travel a lot with our dog.

We test drove the CRV and loved it but then we got B and E's new car seats and they were too big to fit in there. Now that we have two, everything seems small unless there's a third row seat.

I used to have a Mitsubishi Outlander, which is about the same size as the CR-V. We don't have kids yet, just a dog, and I feel like for longer trips we were pretty much maxed out on space. We often go to my parents' house, which is 3 hours away, or on vacations with my family to the cape. Packing for 5+ days for 2 adults and giant bag of stuff for the dog (food, toys, leash, bowls, etc.) and the car would be filled. We could not have managed in that car with a baby, especially at Christmas when we've also got presents on top of everything else.

I now have a bigger (but still 5 passenger) SUV, the Toyota Venza. I think it will accommodate cars seats and luggage and everything else we drag around without a problem.

But it probably depends a lot on what your needs are. If your family is local and you're not taking too many road trips, maybe a smaller SUV would work without a problem.

We have a 2008 CRV. We have one toddler, one 25 lb dog, and we are trying for #2. I hope to keep this car for at least 3 more years, but we'll see how it goes. I really like it (except for the road noise). We have been very happy with the legroom and trunk space.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: woo! Did you trade in your Nissan?

We have a 2013 Mazda 5. A few reasons made that what we wanted. One was the big dog and the baby. The other was that we already determined that 3 kids is the max for us. So a 5 seater would be tight but the Mazda 5 has 6. Most of the time we have the two back seats down. We love it.

We have a new CRV and I wondering if it can hold two kids plus a dog. Right now, we don't have any kids but our dog is being spoiled by getting the whole back seat. When we have kids, I'm sure, I'll have to put the dog in the very back. I'm pretty short (5'2) and my husband is 5'11 and he loves driving it.

As for driving the car long distances, it's great and comfy. We drove it 5000 miles through 7 states for Christmas. Love the car!

If we have 3 kids, we would have to get a 7 seater. Lets hope I don't pregnant with triplets. Though I just want to get pregnant at this point.

Anyway, I wanted to stick with a 4 cylinder small SUV and the CRV was perfect for us.
