Swaddling is magic in our house. LO is a super happy camper when he's in a Halo swaddle/sleep sack combo. His feet are free, but his arms are strapped down pretty well. Obviously a question for the ped tomorrow, but what guidelines have you heard?

From what I've heard, the concern is surrounding hip injury so I think it's OK to swaddle their upper half tightly but leave their legs free to move around. Swaddling is to control their arm reflexes anyway.

You can swaddle until they roll.
We used the same swaddle as you and the Halo brand advertises that they are 'good' for hip development since legs aren't swaddled.
I have seen another brand (GRObag) advertise that their swaddle is good because it makes sure that baby isn't swaddled too tightly, so maybe just make sure it's not too tight?

We would swaddle for all naps and night-time sleep, but would try to not swaddle other times of the day if possible. Some evenings he was so fussy that was one of the only things that would help, though. I would wear him a lot so he wasn't swaddled 24/7.
