Spinoff of the e-ring thread -- how much was your DH's wedding band and what is it made of?
My DH's is a cheap tungsten band we got off Overstock.com for a steal! I feel bad about how cheap it was (though he doesn't care )

Palladium,it was $1300+ I had to convince him to get a band with milgrain detail to have a similar design element as my rings.

I have no idea, I have since forgotten! Both of our rings were custom made, so they coordinate without matching exactly. Mine has a ring of diamonds on the edge, while his has a groove.

~$750, 6mm platinum in size 10. This was in 2010.
ETA: just check the price of his band now and it's more than doubled! WOW!

It was heavy and platinum, so pretty expensive. But it was the one he liked best and it's pretty much the only jewelry he will ever get so we got the expensive one.

I forget the cost exactly, though it was expensive! He has a platinum band and it was more expensive than mine even though mine has diamonds!

It is white gold but because it came from the jeweller who did both my e-ring and my wedding band, he let us have it for $300!

About 100. Which is a good thing because he lost it once and it wasn't really a big deal...I ordered the same one from Jared to replace it.

It was Tunsten with a "rim" around it, like a rounded band.
I voted $100-$250 because I remember it being over $150, but don't know how much exactly....like $180?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I bought it online so I just looked for the same exact ring we bought him on that website.
P.S. I checked the site out beforehand via Price Scope.

I don't remember, but it wasn't expensive. It's Jewish tradition to have a plain, uncut band so it's just a plain white gold band.

I think his was under $50 and purchased from overstock.com. I believe it's tungsten.

It was around $230 I think? Plain yellow gold band (that matches mine, but thicker) from overstock.com.

@regberadaisy: hmm I found our rings on the Scott Kay website, but the prices aren't listed. I am curious now.

around $2600, solid white gold and 1.25 carat diamonds. (cut in four), my dh is metro and needed a lil bling.

It was ~$25 on amazon he watched a bunch of YouTube videos about the durability of different metals and he decided he wanted tungsten. We saw one at the jeweler that he liked and then I found the exact same one for a quarter the price the jeweler wanted. SOLD! Haha, it meant I could get a nicer ring if his was cheap, greedy wife!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: we got both ours on The Facets Collection. They're based in Midtown NYC but only sell online.
Maybe try calling and pretend like you're shopping around?

White gold, around $900+ tax. Gold prices have gone up a LOT in the past year or two, and we just got married last September. Poor guy bought me an engagement ring, wedding ring, AND marriage necklace made of 24 karat solid gold, as is sri lankan Hindu tradition. Poor guy got screwed on the wedding jewelry. Since gold isn't so popular in American culture,I never knew how insanely expensive a thick gold necklace could be until we were planning our wedding.

I don't recall the exact cost but it was between $150 and $200 after engraving. Hubby's ring is made of cobalt chrome.

His is a cheap tungsten band off of Overstock too! That's why I wasn't too upset that he lost his band yesterday. Because the band is so inexpensive we were already able to pay to replace it.

$1200. Then he lost it in the ocean and insisted we get the same one so really $2400. Ahhh.

$3,000 give or take. He has a Cartier band with the love symbol around it - no diamonds.

@HLK208: Aghh! That was our nightmare and what swayed my DH to pick a cheapie ring. He even suggested buying 2 at the time so that we'd have a backup.
@Adira: Platinum is crazy expensive and since most guy's rings are quite thick, I'm not surprised that it was more than your band with diamonds!

DH's original wedding band was titanium and $99. He then lost 45 pounds and had to get a new one, since its rare to find a jeweler who will resize titanium.
Someone at work suggested to get on Amazon and buy a new one. His one he has now was only $30 and is tungsten. It's black and great quality. I wish we had looked there first.

$65 from Kays. He wanted a specific style that was actually hard to find. I wound up finding it online at Kays and saw how cheap it was too! His is tungsten and I forgot to do the service plan that would get him a new ring should he need a new size since you can't resize tungsten. Oops. Atleast it was cheap! He loves his ring and didn't care how much it cost. Looking at how banged up it is I am super glad I went with tungsten! Gold would be completely battered up!

I forget. 300?
He ended up getting a tattoo on his ring finger. I think it cost 200ish

around 250 maybe? it is a plain white gold band. i have a matching plain white gold band that cost less than his (smaller) for my wedding band, and diamonds for my e ring!

It was around $65. It's Tungsten Carbide. We bought it on Overstock. He loves it!

Platinum, Tiffany's classic band. Over $2200 I think? Right after we bought them (we bought both our wedding bands at the same time) we drove to a taco place to celebrate. On the way over (in separate cars) I had to call my credit card company to increase my limit, because I went over by $84!! I thought for certain Tiffany's was going to track me down. (The wedding was fairly inexpensive, relatively speaking, but still put a strain on my only piece of plastic!)
