I put a lot of time into LO's parties so far. For her 2nd it's a bow themed so I made bows out of felt to use as garland, I printed pictures of her and decorated the frames and put a felt bow on the frame where it would be in her hair, I made favors for the kids and adults, I'm making party hats, I am making vases with bows on them out of glass bottles, I made a Happy Birthday banner, etc. I will also be making all of the food and cupcakes. Even if I could afford to have someone do this all for me, I think I'd rather do it myself. Love party planning!

Literally almost none. I'm not into themed birthday parties or anything, and I don't plan to be unless she grows up and asks for one. We did it in a park last year, with cake and bbq. I made the cake, I suppose. Now that she's almost two I might find something a little more involved, but I still won't make a bunch of decorations or favors or anything. Heck no.

I have already started planning for my LO's first birthday in October. I have the theme, I have the shopping lists, the to do lists. I plan on starting buying supplies next month!

Yeah, I'm not planning to put too much effort into it. When I see all those fancy parties on parenting blogs, all I see is $$$! Which is cool, if that's what you're into, but I'd rather just keep it simple. A cake, some food, maybe some colorful streamers. Done!
When LO gets older, I'll definitely let him choose what kind of party he has. I think birthdays should be special, when they can actually remember and appreciate it.

I put a lot into it. I try to make a theme and go with it. I either order printables from Etsy or find some free ones and figure all the other stuff way ahead of time. I decided on a yogurt shop this time. Less clean up for me.lol
